As the time has grown the mankind has also grown in terms of technology,
living standard, the way of keeping records. In the initial years the
requirement of remembering information and keeping information intact
for future use was very less. But as the human developed himself, the
requirement of keeping information in an effective manner and in terms of
capacity becomes a crucial issue to be resolved. To solve this problem
several techniques came up in the meanwhile. And now when data capacity
has no limit and humans doesn’t want the pattern of storage and
processing to be a hurdle; BIG DATA came up as a rescue plan. The motive
of writing this paper is to understand the storage pattern of data
developed over the years.
Financial inclusion for sustainable developmentTapasya123
For any developing country like India, the sustainable growth of nation is only possible
by inclusive all financial services to those groups who are excluded to access financial
system. The approach that was first used by the government for financial inclusion

as the main focus ignoring the use of mobile banking. Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan
Yojana (PMJDY) is introduced to overcome the loopholes of Swabhimaan. It is an
urge of the hour to make the people understand that financial inclusion is the emerging
financial means which play major role to develop country by eradicating poverty.
The main objective of financial inclusion is a basic no frill account, credit availability
at appropriate rate, knowledge of secure savings and financial products, remittance,
pension and insurance etc. PMJDY is major financial plan with the objective of covering
all households in the country with banking facilities along with inbuilt insurance
coverage. The paper implies to study the need of financial inclusions in India with

Telecommunication sector a prime driver in accelerating india's economic growthTapasya123
Telecom sector plays an important role in supporting the growth of other
sectors of the Indian economy .Indian Telecom Industry has a multiplier
effect in the country and also contributes in the efficiency of the economy

A value added approach by triple bottom line for Sustainable DevelopmentTapasya123
In the era of 21st century, a Triple Bottom Line not only measure profits as earlier,
but also measures the social, environmental and economic dimensions of an entity
through its activities and processes. It is a new way of evaluating a company’s impact
of their actions on both local as well as global scale for the survival and longevity
of an organisation. Due to uncertainty and unpredictability, corporate values are in
move from traditional to human and societal values. It is the first and foremost
responsibility of profit, non-profit or government sector to fulfill the various obligations
of their stakeholders as well as the planet we are living on. Traditional Accounting
methods do not take in consideration the intangible assets (human capital and intellectual
capital) and risks. Though, these factors are also the main attributes that affect
organisations accountability. Thus, there is a need of the hour to develop a system
of accounting that may include intangible assets and risks. There lies a major reason
for emergence of triple bottom line. Triple bottom line is thinking holistically, exploring
the inter-related relationships between the economic, social and environment that is
People + Planet + Profit (3 P’s). The companies aiming for sustainability need to
perform not against a traditional single, financial bottom line but against the triple
bottom line. This paper focuse on how triple bottom line approach change the way
of evaluating and reporting the performance of corporations. This paper emphasis
on how a value addition in financial bottom line changed into triple bottom line.
Choupal in Hindi language means a village gathering place. Taking this gathering
place to the virtual world, ITC (one of the India’s largest and oldest business
conglomerates) introduced the e – Choupal to empower rural India in the year 2000.
e – Choupal provides better supply chain for ITC’s food and agri businesses. It enables
reach to the underserved rural markets. For rural farmers it caters new IT enabled
services and business opportunities i.e. health, education, entertainment, and e–
governance. It increases shareholder’s value through serving the society. The critical
success factors of e– Choupal are comprehensive knowledge of rural markets, designing
a win – win transaction model, leveraging the logistics channel, selection of Sanchalak
(operator), evolving an appropriate user interface and bottom-up model for
entrepreneurship. The e– Choupal model shows that a large corporation can play
a major role in recognising markets and increasing the efficiency of an agricultural
system. The case also uncovers the key role of information technology – in this case
provided and maintained by a corporation – but utilised by local farmers. This access
to information helps farmers in improving the quality of produce and obtaining better
prices. Elected from the village itself, a literate farmer acts as the interface between
the illiterate farmers and the computer. The model shows that a large corporation
can combine a social mission and an ambitious commercial venture, that it can play
a major role in rationalising markets and increasing the efficiency of an agriculture
system, and do so in ways that benefit rural communities. This case study given here
covers the background, the impact, key elements of empowerment, issues, lessons,
determinants for success and long term assessment of the system’s productivity and
efficiency levels.

Spices are the aromatic parts of tropical plants traditionally used to flavour food, or the dried seeds or fruit of temperate plants used in the same way. Spices are the buds, bark, roots, berries and aromatic seeds that are harvested for use in flavouring cooking.
Some typically dried spices are used in their fresh form in the countries that produce them. Many of the world’s highly prized spices—such as cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and pepper—are fragrant or pungent plant products cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions.

Spice in NEHR: Status, Challenge & Export Potential.pptxAlemlaImchen
India, known as the home of spice, produce the most sought- after spices globally, owing to their exquisite aroma, texture, taste and medicinal value. India has the largest domestic market for spice in the world. As a part of this historic spice nation, the North East Region (NER) of India is home to some niche, high quality spice crops. It comprises of eight states, namely, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim, lying between 21º50’ and 29º34’N latitude and 85º34’ and 97º50’ E longitude. The region is known for its inaccessible terrain, fragility, excessive sloping land with rolling topography, rich forest cover, and biotic and abiotic diversity. The North East Hill Region (NEHR) in particular is exclusive in nature due to its peculiarities of location, terrain characteristics. NEHR harbor a rich flora on account of its topography, climate and altitudes. Agro- climatically NER is known for its wide diversity representing temperate, subtropical and tropical areas. The diversity within a single region provides ample scope for growing a large variety of crops (Dubey et al., 2000) and has great potential for development of horticultural crops including spices.
Spices are low volume and high export-oriented commodities that has great economic significance in India (Sugasini et al., 2018). These crops have wider adaptability in different cropping systems and can be cultivated as sole crop, inter crop, mixed crop and multistorey cropping systems. These crops are both annual and perennial in nature and the products of these crops are good source of raw materials for ancillary industries. Spices have multi beneficial uses. Apart from flavouring and seasoning, spices are widely used in indigenous medicines, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, aroma therapy, preservatives, beverages, natural colours, perfumes, cosmetics and botanicals as pesticides and thus, play a significant role in the economy of the producing country. These properties are due to diverse array of chemicals synthesized by these spices. NEHR holds immense potential for organic and exotic spices and herbs and presently, the region is the hub of major spices like large cardamom, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, chilli, bay leaf etc. which are in great demand and has tremendous potential. NEHR is home to some niche spice crops like Lakadong turmeric, Bird’s eye chilli, King chilli and Nadia ginger which has high demand for their unique features. NEHR is second to none in quality and sustainability aspect and the major advantage of this regiregion is the organic nature of cultivation practices and low pesticide residue.

Ginger Powder Production. Business Opportunity in Ginger Processing Industry. Commercial Ginger Products
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is one among the wonderful spice in Indian kitchen that leaves strong flavor to the curry to make. It is usually used in making chicken or fish curries so that it can suppress the unhealthy raw smell of this food ingredient and replace the same with wonderful smell of ginger.
Ginger Powder is the grounded form of dried ginger roots. It is essentially used as a seasoning agent. However, the powdered form doesn't carry the strong pungent flavor from the roots. Hence, it is used for giving a mild taste to the dishes.

probable impacts of WTO agreements on Indian plantation sector. It has
special significance in the context of globalisation particularly in the
spices sector because spices are export oriented agricultural products.
The AMS (Aggregate Measures of Support) and QRs (Quantitative
Restrictions) imposed as a result of the WTO agreements was analysed.
The developments in various rounds of WTO negotiations were analysed
in detail and arrived at the conclusion to our country particularly to the

spices sector because the problems of pesticide residue was ever a
problem to the Indian spice which may get aggravated and there is a
possibility of developed nations using some of the provisions of WTO
agreements against our country.
Jose 2000 in his paper Geographical differences in spice use, describe
the geographical differences in spice use giving clear indications for
improving export market of Indian spices. He argues that spices
consumption is directly correlated to the temperature levels and cultural
background of the country. Hot climate often produces large microbial
population in foodstuffs. Since spices have anti- microbial properties, use
of spices is more in tropical climate. The spices use per recipe is more in
such countries. This paper also establishes that spices are powerful
against all microorganisms causing toxic effect to foodstuffs and their use
is indispensable in reducing food born illness and poisoning.
Jafee and Schipmann(2005) in their contribution professes that the
major spice growers are the small growers and the small farm lands. In
countries like India where spice production has a long tradition, the
processing and export of spices are often undertaken by Small scale,
family based companies.
Acharya (2006) discuss about the marketing and system of rural credit in
the area of agriculture. Marketing system is actually critical link among
the sector of farm production. Beside the facilitating functions related to
transferring the goods from the farmers to the consumers, the system of
marketing performs the functions of exploring the prices at various

stages of marketing and transmitting the prices in the chain of marketing
(Acharya, 2006). While marketing the fenugreek and cumin seeds, many
issues and concern are related to the performance of the marketing
system, which also relies on the structure of market. An efficient
marketing system is the one, which supports in resource optimisation,
management of output, improvement in farmer s income, increase in
agro based industry, market widening, creation of employment and
increase in national income by value addition.
Research Methodology
Data have been collected with the help of various secondary sources such
as articles, journals, magazines, books, website etc. The main objective of
this paper is to bring out the future growth prospects and challenges of
Rajasthan spices and to study the role of State Government and National
Research Centre on Seed Spices Board, Ajmer in improving farming
practices and developing marketing strategies.
Significance of Study
This study is focused on production of specific spices i.e., cumin and
fenugreek and its marketing. It also analyses the Rajasthan market
performance by evaluating the marketing activities and different
channels of marketing of spice crops along with evaluation of market
integration that could act as the key input in formulating the relevant
policies and procedure of marketing. By considering the resources and
time, this study focuses on the development of insight into the farmer s

perception towards farming and marketing of spices (cumin and
fenugreek) in Rajasthan.
In order to proceed with this study, the knowledge about the spices
marketing need to be attained, not only for understanding the structural
sense how the spices are delivered, rather it should also be understood
for gaining the substantive sense of how the spices are marketed. For the
significance of this study, marketing of spices would cover up the
implementation of different policies and availability of facilities of
Rajasthan, along with the issues that lies in its implementation (Agro
marketing strategies for Wn. Rajasthan, 2013). This research will clearly
examine the boards of spice marketing, which will include the launch of
different programs and schemes and its role in offering the facilities of
infrastructural credit and measures for export promotion within the
plans and policies of decisions that are taken by the state.
Spices in Rajasthan
Rajasthan is the largest state of India having different weather and soil
conditions consisting of different agro-climatic situations which helps
the state for diversified cropping pattern. In Rajasthan major spices
grown are Ajwain, Chilly, Cumin, Fenugreek, Coriander, Garlic, Ginger &

Seed Spices Challenges in Rajasthan
Seed Spices farming has to face several challenges. Scanty rainfall and
inefficient water management can also affect Seed spices farming. Lack of
proper training to the seed spices growers, traders, processors and
exporters and socio-economic constraints results in inadequate yields.
Non availability of high yielding disease resistant varieties causes the low
productivity of seed spices. Due to lack of on farm primary and
secondary processing, the quality of the produce becomes poor. There is
lack of quality management (intrinsic as well as extrinsic quality
parameters). For increasing the overall system productivity, the
challenge is to appropriately reduce the cost of cultivation. Integrated
Farming Approach needs preferential attention.
Conclusion
Different kind of Seed Spices are grown in India and there is a huge
demand of spices all over the world. But even after major importance of

seed spices, the spices sector has still not achieved the required status.
Farmers in Rajasthan are growing seed spices as a cash crop next to their
regular crops. For giving special emphasis on seed spices farming,
farmers need a competitive price for their produce so that they can earn
maximum profit. A comprehensive technology-based development
approach to promote seed spices Farming is the need of the hour. By
improving the seed spices quality and value added products, the scope
for earning foreign exchange can be increased. There is a possibility for
availability of spices based cropping systems technologies to increase the
productivity of seed spices. In spice farming and spice industries, there
can be employment opportunities for the trained manpower. By
enhancing the cultivation of organic seed spices for promoting export.
Integrating Farming Approach can also help the farmers to overcome
various natural calamities.
Suggestions
To aware farmers/growers about the standard production
technologies used in seed spices for making a successful commercial
Venture.
Integrated water and nutrient management approach should be
considered for agro-climatic regions.
