58% of businesses cannot measure the ROI of their social media activities. While there is no single way to measure social ROI, viewing social media as part of a multi-channel campaign can provide insights. For example, social media may generate fewer leads than other channels but those leads could convert at a higher rate. Measuring social ROI also allows companies to adjust their social media strategy and campaigns to better meet their goals.
Ice hockey evolved from earlier stick and ball games in Canada during the 19th century. It was adapted to the icy conditions by British troops and immigrants playing with sticks and a ball on ice skates in Nova Scotia. The first organized indoor hockey game took place in 1875 in Montreal, using a puck instead of a ball. While fighting is officially prohibited, it remains controversial but draws fan interest, with enforcers sometimes engaging in bouts to intimidate opponents or retaliate for hard hits. Common injuries include lacerations, concussions, and broken bones due to the high-speed, full-contact nature of the sport.
Kinect is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game console. It allows for controller-free gaming through gestures, voice commands, and object/image recognition using infrared sensors and cameras. At launch in 2010, Kinect was an immediate success, with over 2.5 million units sold in its first month. It brought new gamers to the market and interactive games through its innovative motion tracking technology. However, some hard-core gamers found it lacking and it required a significant amount of free space to play most titles. Overall, Kinect provided a unique casual gaming experience for parties and workouts as long as users had adequate room.

Ralph Baer is considered the "Father of Video Games" for inventing the first interactive electronic game in 1947 and later developing the first home video game console, the Magnavox Odyssey. In the 1970s, arcade games like Computer Space, Pong, Space Invaders and Pac-Man became hugely popular, driving the growth of the coin-operated video game industry. This golden age of arcades was followed by the rise of early home consoles like the Atari 2600 and the crash of the video game industry in 1983. The Nintendo Entertainment System revived the market in the mid-1980s and launched the era of popular 8-bit and 16-bit consoles.

Bowling is a game that originated in England in the early 1900s. It involves rolling a heavy ball down a wooden lane to knock down 15 wooden pins arranged in a triangle formation at the end. Players take turns rolling balls down the lane to try and knock down all the pins on each roll. Points are scored based on the number of pins knocked down and the game is over once all frames have been completed.
Bowling is a game played on a flat surface called a lane, with players rolling a ball towards pins at the end of the lane. Key equipment includes:
- Bowling alleys containing multiple lanes for play
- Bowling balls that players roll down the lane towards pins
- Bowling pins arranged in a triangle formation at the end of each lane that are the target of the ball
- Bowling bags for transporting and storing balls and shoes
- Special bowling shoes with different traction on each shoe to assist sliding and braking motions required for accurate ball delivery.
Bowling has origins dating back to 3200 BC in ancient Egypt. It became popular in Germany in 300 AD and England in 1366 when King Edward III outlawed it. By the 1800s, bowling was common in many American states and the American Bowling Congress standardized rules in 1895. Scoring involves frames, strikes, spares, and open frames. Choosing the right ball depends on weight and cover material. Bowling etiquette and gear have evolved over time but leagues, parties, and fun variations keep the sport socially engaging for all ages.

It has applications in 3D scanning, sign language translation, augmented reality, robot control, and virtual fitting rooms due to its low-cost depth sensing capabilities.
