A local project must be economically, technologically and socially viable within its local context. It must address an identified main problem and have a vision with defined goals. To achieve this vision, the project establishes a strategy using existing resources and drivers of change. It is structured with a series of activities that produce results, working towards the goals and fulfilling the overall vision. Designers help by providing tools to support defining the context, vision, goals, strategy and structure of effective local projects.

1. 1. Local project Title Local project: a self-standing project that, in the context where it is embedded must be: economically, technologically and socially viable. A nd, therefore , it must refer to locally already existing active communities or to communities that are activated by the same project proposals.

That is: a positive possible future that can be built thanks to a creative use of available resources and existing drivers of change. Goals : the set of specific results to be achieved, in order to fulfil a given vision.
