Wireless CCTV SYS T EM
 That's because of four standard functions wireless
security cameras introduce to home security systems.
Those are:
1. MOTION SENSING CAMERA
2. SCHEDULED RECORDING
3. CLOUD STORAGE
4. REMOTE ACCESS
MOTION SENSING
CAMERA
- Wireless security camera
systems can be outfitted with
motion sensor technology
that is both energy-efficient
and more secure.
- Security cameras that
include motion detectors will
start recording automatically
any time they sense
movement in range.
- In the case of pan-and-tilt
cameras, the camera lens
will automatically point itself
in the direction of the motion
and record.
SCHEDULED
RECORDING
- One of the biggest advantages of
a wireless camera is the option to
control your system's recording
schedule
- Aside from receiving video clips
whenever motion is detected, an
alarm is activated, or a sensor is
triggered, it's easy to schedule your
surveillance system to automatically
record at certain times.
- This safety feature allows you to
ensure that your house is as secure
as possible
CLOUD STORAGE
- Among the many advanced
features of a wireless home
surveillance system, cloud
storage is one of the key
components that connect it
all.
- All images and video clips
recorded with a surveillance
system are automatically
transferred via your home's
wi-fi network to smart drive
cloud storage.
- This convenient storage
allows you to access your
clips at any time from your
home's control panel
REMOTE ACCESS
- This system allows you to
remotely access, monitor,
control, and adjust all of your
home's surveillance systems
from your online account,
mobile app, or control panel.
- This means you can control,
monitor, and manage your
home from anywhere,
whether you're at home or
not
Advantages of CCTV
Cameras
 ACTS AS A CRIME
DETERRENT.
 MONITOR YOUR BUSINESS
FROM ANYWHERE.
 DISCOURAGING CRIME.
 COLLECTING PROOF.
 ARRIVING AT THE RIGHT
DECISIONS.
 MAINTAIN RECORDS.
Disadvantages of CCTV
Cameras
 THE ISSUE OF INTRUSION
OF PRIVACY.
 IT CAN BE A COSTLY
AFFAIR.
 THEY CAN BE
VULNERABLE.
 CAN’T STOP THEFT.
 DOESN'T WORK WELL IN
BAD CLIMATIC AGENCIES.
 CAN BE DAMAGES IF IN
REACH
2. Fire Fighting System
Why Do We need Fire Fighting?
 Fire safety is a subject connected
not only with human and property
safety but is related with design of
buildings and their services.
 Fire although a good friend of
humanity, when it spreads un-
controlled, in buildings can be
vicious enemy resulting in heavy
loss of property and lives.
 Therefore fire protection measures,
both in residential buildings and in
commercial/ industrial complexes,
have assumed a great role in
recent years in our country.
 Each of these three elements must
be present at the same time to
have a fire. A fire will burn until one
or more of the elements is
removed.
What is Fire Protection:
 A method of fire protection involves the conveyance of water I pipes to
extinguish fire within a building falls into the field of plumbing. Water may
be supplied through riser pipes or standpipes.
Classification of Fire:
 Class A: Ordinary combustibles or fibrous material, such as wood,
paper, cloth, rubber, and some plastics.
 Class B: Flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, kerosene,
paint, paint thinners and propane .
 Class C: Energized electrical equipment, such as appliances, switches,
panel boxes and power tools .
 Class D: Certain combustible metals, such as magnesium, titanium,
potassium, and sodium.
 Class K: Cooking oils and fat
Components of Fire Fighting System:
 Passive fire protection is an integral component of the
three components of structural fire protection and fire
safety in a building.
 PFP attempts to contain fires or slow the spread, through
use of fire-resistant walls, floors, and doors (amongst
other examples).
 Active fire protection - is an integral part of fire
protection.
 AFP is characterized by items and/or systems, which
require a certain amount of motion and response in
order to work, contrary to passive fire protection.
Active fire protection
1. Alarm System
2. Smoke Detectors
3. Heat Detectors
4. Portable Fire Extinguishers
5. Fire Hydrants
6. Sprinkler System (Dry Riser, Wet Riser)
Alarm System:
 Initiating devices – these are
your activation stations, and can
be manual (pull stations) or
automatic (smoke detectors).
 Notification appliances –
notification appliances are
things like flashing lights, strobe
lights, horns, speakers, etc. that
actually let people know of the
danger in your building.
 Building safety interfaces – these
are things like exit lighting,
ventilation systems, etc. that
make it easier for people to get
out of the building once a fire
has started.
Smoke Detectors:
 A smoke detector is a device that
detects smoke, typically as an indicator
of fire.
 In large commercial, industrial, and
residential buildings
 Usually powered by a central fire alarm
system, which is powered by the building
power with a battery backup
 IONIZATION: in this type radioactive
source is used to ionize the air within
sensing chambers. This detector is most
efficient when flaming fires are
expected.
 PHOTOEL ECT RIC: in this type principle
of reflected or scattered light is used to
indicate the presence of visual smoke.
This detector is most efficient when
smoke has to travel a distance before
reaching the detector (aged smoke).
Ionization detector photoelectric
detector
Heat Detectors:
 A 'heat detector is a fire alarm device
designed to respond when the converted
thermal energy of a fire increases the
temperature of a heat sensitive element.
 Heat detectors are not meant to replace
smoke detectors. A heat detector will
nonetheless notify of a fire in a kitchen or
utility area (i.e., laundry room, garage, or
attic), where smoke detectors should not be
installed. This will allow extra time to
evacuate the building or to put out the fire if
possible. Fixed Temperature
 When the heat sensitive alloy reaches the a
point changing state from a solid to a liquid.
 The most common fixed temperature point
for electrically connected heat detectors is
136.4°F (58°C). Rate-of-Rise (ROR)
 Heat detectors can operate at a lower
temperature fire condition than would be
possible if the threshold were fix
 Detector responds when first’s temperature
increases relative to the other.
Portable Fire
Extinguishers:
 Portable extinguishers are manufactured
in a variety of shapes & sizes.
 In order to avoid confusion, extinguisher
of the same type, should be similar in
shape, appearance and as far as
possible, in method of operation.
 Classification Of Extinguishers according
to type of Fire:
1. Water Extinguisher: For Class A Fire.
2. Foam Extinguisher: For Class B Fire.
3. Carbon di Oxide Extinguisher: For Class C
Fire.
4. Dry Chemical Extinguisher: For Class D
Fire.
Pillar or Post
Hydrants:
 These hydrant remain standing
above ground like a post by about
0.9 m to 1.2 m and connected to a
water main underground.
 It consists of a sluice valve, a duck
foot bend, a 65 mm dia post one,
two or three outlets.
 These outlets are spaced around
the periphery of the hydrant barrel,
so that it can serve more number
of fire tenders at a time, they are
painted red in color, flushed once
in every six months and kept in
working condition.
Sprinkler System:
 The automatic spray or sprinkler system
provides a network of sprinkler heads
(which both detect and extinguish fires)
throughout the protected spaces.
 This system may be used in
accommodation areas, and in
machinery spaces with certain variations
in the equipment used and the method
of operation.
1. Dry Riser System
2. Wet Riser System
❑ How Does The Sprinkler System Work:
 The sprinkler head is closed by a
quartzoid bulb which contains a liquid
that expands considerably on heating.
 When excessively heated the liquid
expands, shatters the bulb and water will
issue from the sprinkler head.
 A deflector plate on the sprinkler head
causes the water to spray out over a
large area.
1. Dry Riser System
 The pipes in dry risers are empty and are
only filled with water by the fire brigade
when they arrive.
 The fire brigade use hoses to connect
the pump outlet on their appliance to
the dry riser inlet.
 Water is then drawing from the nearest
fire hydrant (fed by the water suppliers
service main²) and this is pressurized by
the fire pump on the fire tender to
provide water at the correct flow and
pressure for fire fighting operations at the
relevant floor level.
2. Wet Riser System
 The pipes in wet risers are full of
water at all times and have pumps
that deliver the water to the
outlets, these pumps drawing
water from storage tanks.
 The pumps operate when the
pressure in the rising mains drops
when a landing valve is opened.
 They do not depend on the fire
brigade appliance or water from
the local mains.

  • 9. Wireless CCTV SYS T EM  That's because of four standard functions wireless security cameras introduce to home security systems. Those are: 1. MOTION SENSING CAMERA 2. SCHEDULED RECORDING 3. CLOUD STORAGE 4. REMOTE ACCESS
  • 10. MOTION SENSING CAMERA - Wireless security camera systems can be outfitted with motion sensor technology that is both energy-efficient and more secure. - Security cameras that include motion detectors will start recording automatically any time they sense movement in range. - In the case of pan-and-tilt cameras, the camera lens will automatically point itself in the direction of the motion and record. SCHEDULED RECORDING - One of the biggest advantages of a wireless camera is the option to control your system's recording schedule - Aside from receiving video clips whenever motion is detected, an alarm is activated, or a sensor is triggered, it's easy to schedule your surveillance system to automatically record at certain times. - This safety feature allows you to ensure that your house is as secure as possible
  • 11. CLOUD STORAGE - Among the many advanced features of a wireless home surveillance system, cloud storage is one of the key components that connect it all. - All images and video clips recorded with a surveillance system are automatically transferred via your home's wi-fi network to smart drive cloud storage. - This convenient storage allows you to access your clips at any time from your home's control panel REMOTE ACCESS - This system allows you to remotely access, monitor, control, and adjust all of your home's surveillance systems from your online account, mobile app, or control panel. - This means you can control, monitor, and manage your home from anywhere, whether you're at home or not
  • 12. Advantages of CCTV Cameras  ACTS AS A CRIME DETERRENT.  MONITOR YOUR BUSINESS FROM ANYWHERE.  DISCOURAGING CRIME.  COLLECTING PROOF.  ARRIVING AT THE RIGHT DECISIONS.  MAINTAIN RECORDS. Disadvantages of CCTV Cameras  THE ISSUE OF INTRUSION OF PRIVACY.  IT CAN BE A COSTLY AFFAIR.  THEY CAN BE VULNERABLE.  CAN’T STOP THEFT.  DOESN'T WORK WELL IN BAD CLIMATIC AGENCIES.  CAN BE DAMAGES IF IN REACH
  • 14. Why Do We need Fire Fighting?  Fire safety is a subject connected not only with human and property safety but is related with design of buildings and their services.  Fire although a good friend of humanity, when it spreads un- controlled, in buildings can be vicious enemy resulting in heavy loss of property and lives.  Therefore fire protection measures, both in residential buildings and in commercial/ industrial complexes, have assumed a great role in recent years in our country.  Each of these three elements must be present at the same time to have a fire. A fire will burn until one or more of the elements is removed.
  • 15. What is Fire Protection:  A method of fire protection involves the conveyance of water I pipes to extinguish fire within a building falls into the field of plumbing. Water may be supplied through riser pipes or standpipes. Classification of Fire:  Class A: Ordinary combustibles or fibrous material, such as wood, paper, cloth, rubber, and some plastics.  Class B: Flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, paint, paint thinners and propane .  Class C: Energized electrical equipment, such as appliances, switches, panel boxes and power tools .  Class D: Certain combustible metals, such as magnesium, titanium, potassium, and sodium.  Class K: Cooking oils and fat
  • 16. Components of Fire Fighting System:  Passive fire protection is an integral component of the three components of structural fire protection and fire safety in a building.  PFP attempts to contain fires or slow the spread, through use of fire-resistant walls, floors, and doors (amongst other examples).  Active fire protection - is an integral part of fire protection.  AFP is characterized by items and/or systems, which require a certain amount of motion and response in order to work, contrary to passive fire protection.
  • 17. Active fire protection 1. Alarm System 2. Smoke Detectors 3. Heat Detectors 4. Portable Fire Extinguishers 5. Fire Hydrants 6. Sprinkler System (Dry Riser, Wet Riser)
  • 18. Alarm System:  Initiating devices – these are your activation stations, and can be manual (pull stations) or automatic (smoke detectors).  Notification appliances – notification appliances are things like flashing lights, strobe lights, horns, speakers, etc. that actually let people know of the danger in your building.  Building safety interfaces – these are things like exit lighting, ventilation systems, etc. that make it easier for people to get out of the building once a fire has started. Smoke Detectors:  A smoke detector is a device that detects smoke, typically as an indicator of fire.  In large commercial, industrial, and residential buildings  Usually powered by a central fire alarm system, which is powered by the building power with a battery backup  IONIZATION: in this type radioactive source is used to ionize the air within sensing chambers. This detector is most efficient when flaming fires are expected.  PHOTOEL ECT RIC: in this type principle of reflected or scattered light is used to indicate the presence of visual smoke. This detector is most efficient when smoke has to travel a distance before reaching the detector (aged smoke). Ionization detector photoelectric detector
  • 19. Heat Detectors:  A 'heat detector is a fire alarm device designed to respond when the converted thermal energy of a fire increases the temperature of a heat sensitive element.  Heat detectors are not meant to replace smoke detectors. A heat detector will nonetheless notify of a fire in a kitchen or utility area (i.e., laundry room, garage, or attic), where smoke detectors should not be installed. This will allow extra time to evacuate the building or to put out the fire if possible. Fixed Temperature  When the heat sensitive alloy reaches the a point changing state from a solid to a liquid.  The most common fixed temperature point for electrically connected heat detectors is 136.4°F (58°C). Rate-of-Rise (ROR)  Heat detectors can operate at a lower temperature fire condition than would be possible if the threshold were fix  Detector responds when first’s temperature increases relative to the other. Portable Fire Extinguishers:  Portable extinguishers are manufactured in a variety of shapes & sizes.  In order to avoid confusion, extinguisher of the same type, should be similar in shape, appearance and as far as possible, in method of operation.  Classification Of Extinguishers according to type of Fire: 1. Water Extinguisher: For Class A Fire. 2. Foam Extinguisher: For Class B Fire. 3. Carbon di Oxide Extinguisher: For Class C Fire. 4. Dry Chemical Extinguisher: For Class D Fire.
  • 20. Pillar or Post Hydrants:  These hydrant remain standing above ground like a post by about 0.9 m to 1.2 m and connected to a water main underground.  It consists of a sluice valve, a duck foot bend, a 65 mm dia post one, two or three outlets.  These outlets are spaced around the periphery of the hydrant barrel, so that it can serve more number of fire tenders at a time, they are painted red in color, flushed once in every six months and kept in working condition. Sprinkler System:  The automatic spray or sprinkler system provides a network of sprinkler heads (which both detect and extinguish fires) throughout the protected spaces.  This system may be used in accommodation areas, and in machinery spaces with certain variations in the equipment used and the method of operation. 1. Dry Riser System 2. Wet Riser System ❑ How Does The Sprinkler System Work:  The sprinkler head is closed by a quartzoid bulb which contains a liquid that expands considerably on heating.  When excessively heated the liquid expands, shatters the bulb and water will issue from the sprinkler head.  A deflector plate on the sprinkler head causes the water to spray out over a large area.
  • 21. 1. Dry Riser System  The pipes in dry risers are empty and are only filled with water by the fire brigade when they arrive.  The fire brigade use hoses to connect the pump outlet on their appliance to the dry riser inlet.  Water is then drawing from the nearest fire hydrant (fed by the water suppliers service main²) and this is pressurized by the fire pump on the fire tender to provide water at the correct flow and pressure for fire fighting operations at the relevant floor level. 2. Wet Riser System  The pipes in wet risers are full of water at all times and have pumps that deliver the water to the outlets, these pumps drawing water from storage tanks.  The pumps operate when the pressure in the rising mains drops when a landing valve is opened.  They do not depend on the fire brigade appliance or water from the local mains.
