Apache CloudStack is open source software designed to deploy and manage large networks of virtual machines, as a highly available, highly scalable Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud computing platform.
It is used by a number of service providers to offer public cloud services, and by many companies to provide an on-premises (private) cloud offering, or as part of a hybrid cloud solution.
In this webinar, participants will learn:
Completely new way to manage Apache CloudStack with service provider, reseller and customer views.
Reliably collecting performance metrics from guests running inside Cloud stack
How to render Cloud Stack Tenant UI with ActOnCloud User Interface
Generate Detailed Billing Usage Reports for different cloudstack accounts
How to manage multiple cloudstack instances
How to perform capacity planning for Zones inside Cloud stack
How to autoscale VMs in VPC without depending on Hardware based loadbalancers
How to group VMs and apply policies and rules to govern and optimize them
Managing hybrid cloud.
Also if you are tired of seeing the old UI? You can find here the next generation mobile responsive interface to manage your cloud stack.

6. when something happened. it is hard to figure out whats happening
User Interface for service providers
Would be nice to have some guidelines on what parts are necessary to
monitor, and how to monitor.
Is there really Amazon EC2/S3 API support? For some reason the
interaction with my billing system (…) and the CloudStack API is extremely
slow and very CPU intensive (a few minutes to generate a single invoice for
one month). I am not sure if it will scale.
The error logs are to hard to parse and find what's wrong with the
environment
* Backup and Recovery of VMs in CloudStack is very inconsistent and slow
on KVM. * Need java applet style uploads into CloudStack stores (something
like vCloud) * Logging and control of the underlying infrastructure is
immature * Needs progress bars in UI for longer running tasks with details
displayed * Bunch of other stuff that could be improved .....

7. Monitoring of virtual machines Integrated
performance monitoring of virtual machines
and physical hosts.
usage monitoring, graphs, UI customization
Console Proxy needs to be faster. I hear this
all the time from our customers. Automated
Zone failover and/or Region failover has been
another big - repeated request. Better
monitoring, down to the VM level.

CloudStack go
down?
• Why did we run out
of capacity?
• Why do we have so
many un-utilized
hosts?

leave?
Descriptive
• What is my capacity
utilization at
cloudstack level &
datacenter level?
• What is the co-
relation between VM
usage and Storage
usage ?
