resilience
at Second
Chance
Global.
Our mission is made possible
through the generosity,
service, and prayers of those
in Haiti, the Dominican
Republic, and the United
States
3. To maximize the development of each person to
impact the world for Jesus.
Faith
Nothing we do means anything
without Christ. He makes all
things come together. Whether
living in need or abundance, He
is our hope and our reward.
Impact Driven
It is our duty, goal, and
obligation to make decisions
that lead to authentic,
sustainable life change, which
results in a massive impact on
the lives of those we serve.
Committed
We know true change doesn’t
happen overnight. Each of our
programs are designed to be
sustainable, an investment for
generations to come. We will
remain committed to our work
and the relentless pursuit of
progress.
Mission We exist to end generational poverty through
empowerment.
Core Values
Collaboration
We work directly with indigenous
leaders to identify resources and
solve problems together. We
need a network of churches and
organizations who are committed
to working together to increase
awareness, enhance cultivation,
and expedite transformation.
Empowerment
We are dedicated to empowering
people to find their purpose,
achieve their goals, and create a
life of self-reliance. We believe in
giving hand-ups and not hand-
outs.
Excellence
We seek to do everything with
excellence, in a comprehensive
manner. We have a responsibility
to utilize all resources and talents
to their fullest potential for God’s
glory. We understand excellence
does not result from occasional
and unstructured activity but
rather through repeated and
disciplined thought and action.
Vision
4. Friends and Family of Second Chance,
It is the start of a new year! After so many trials and hardships
over the last couple of years, the start of this year truly feels
promising in more ways than one. I hope that your family can
feel and see the same hope for this year that we do!
We are in awe of the work that’s been accomplished by you,
our faithful and resilient partners. Families are stronger,
children are empowered, young adults are transitioned out of
institutionalized living, elderly have access to basic
necessities, and most importantly, new believers have the
Hope of Jesus! This is all because of you and your generosity.
We will continue to make a massive impact around the world
by relying on our proven strategies; however, we believe there
is fresh momentum and ideas to come for our mission in 2023.
We want to assure you of this:
Our Mission is to end generational poverty through
empowerment. Our Vision is to maximize the development of
each person to impact the world for Jesus.
5. Partnering with high-capacity
local leaders, being people-
focused, and ensuring there are
opportunities for empowerment
in everything we do makes our
impact unique.

9. What has the partnership and friendship with
Second Chance meant to you?
To me, friendship and partnership with SCG means
that, by working as a team, we can reach so many more
souls for Christ. I help share stories of impact and
spiritual matters for SCG and coordinate our local
programs through prayers & other resources!
What are some ways you have seen Second
Chance work to create a lasting impact?
SCG is making a lasting impact in our community by
supporting our local programs, which empower men,
women, and children. For example, when young girls
and boys come to the boys and girls club, they learn
Christian values, discipline, and respect. Above all, they
hear the good news about our Lord and Savior, who is
always ready and looking forward to having a
relationship with them. I can only imagine the
tremendous lasting impact created as our children get
involved in such moral and Godly practices.

10. Why are you passionate about the mission
of Second Chance?
I am passionate about the mission of SCG because the
goal is not just about the present life but it is about
empowerment to end generational poverty. SCG helps
people realize and believe in their gifts. In addition, my
life has always been to make a difference in people’s
lives and to be able to do something meaningful. SCG is
offering me this opportunity to impact lives, build
community, strengthen the weak, and see people thrive.
That’s why I am so passionate about SCG.
What makes Second Chance stand out
compared to other organizations?
I love the uniqueness of SCG. The way they perceive
change and the future. Many organizations attempt to
just solve or help people with their present situations in
feeding and clothing… which could bring them back to
their original situation or worse. SCG not only helps in
the immediate daily needs by empowering people, so
they can stand for themselves, work, develop their own
capabilities, build their own dreams, and achieve their
goals by themselves. Empowering people is how we can
end generational poverty.

11. Second Chance Trips
Second Chance Trips
Second Chance Trips
On a typical Mission Trip, team members feel a sense of
accomplishment…afterward, they talk about what they
did and who they helped.
However, on a Second Chance trip team members feel a
sense of tension and unrest…afterward, they talk about
what they learned and what they hope to accomplish
moving forward. They become advocates! The end of the
trip becomes a starting line.
