This document provides instructions for an image search lesson. Students are asked to search for specific images online and post the results to their blog. They are also asked to explore image search tools and write a blog post explaining the function of each tool. The searches include finding a black and white chapel clipart, a recent color photo of Leonardo Da Vinci, a large black and white photo of Munich, a line art image of Snow White, and a color icon of Mickey Mouse.


Let’s review last class’s challenge:

Do the following searches and post on your blog what search
queries you used.

Use the site: operator to search for armchairs on IKEA’s site, www.ikea.com.
•
Find all pages on google.com but not on answers.google.com nor on
directory.google.com whose titles include the words “FAQ” or “help.”
•
Use the link: operator to see who links to chapelschool.com
•
Find pages whose titles include surfing that are not about surfing the World Wide
Web.

Explore the search tools, create a post called image search tools and write
on in what is the function of each one of these tools.

Find the following images and post on your blog with the links to the
original one:

2.
A full color photo of Leonardo da Vinci posted in the last week.

A large black and white photo of the city of Munich
4.
A large black and White line art image of Disney’s Snow White
