Seahorses live in coral reefs around the world, ranging in size from 1-14 inches long. They eat plankton and smaller fish but are preyed on by larger fish and humans. Seahorses move using their dorsal fins, beating them 35 times per second to propel themselves while steering with their fins. They have an average lifespan of 1-5 years and camouflage to avoid predators.
