This document describes sea turtles and their habitat. It notes that sea turtles have colorful hard shells, large beaks, big eyes adapted for water, and large flippers that allow them to swim. The ocean environment contains many animals and colorful plants, and has blue or clear water that is very salty. However, oil, chemicals and fishing nets threaten sea turtles, and overcollection of their eggs and killing for soup has endangered some species like leatherbacks.
