This document describes gorillas. Gorillas have five fingers and five toes, shorter legs than arms, and a crown bone muscle. They walk on four limbs and have five fingers to hang on with. Gorillas live in cool, misty forests located in the mountains of Africa at elevations over 11,500 feet. Their habitat is being destroyed as people chop down forests and hunt gorillas for their fur. Gorilla troops are led by silverback males who have no natural predators and can be identified by their silver backs.
