ISABELLA – For years, the supernatural has gripped every
aspect of our pop culture. From films such as ‘Paranormal
Activity’ and ‘Insidious’ to TV shows such as ‘Angel’ and
‘Supernatural’, we have a culture that is infatuated with
things beyond our comprehension.
MAX – In this documentary series, we hope to explore if
there is any truth behind the stories we obsess over of if
they are just fiction created to frighten us.
CONNOR – Today, we will attempt to convert a skeptic to a
believer by exposing him to the world of ghost hunting and
then we will attempt it ourselves.

2. SCRIPTS FOR FILMING
Narration
ISABELLA - Silent Pool is a popular place to visit and many
feel an eerie stillness looking out over the still water
surrounded by the evergreen box trees.
What intrigued us the most about Silent Pool is its haunted
and mysterious history. Dating back to Saxon times, the
Silent Pool is known to have hosted the disappearance of the
well-known author, Agatha Christie. It is also possibly where
she drowned after her disappearance. It has been said that
her ghost continues to haunt the pool to this day.
Another, more infamous legend surrounding the Silent Pool,
involves the heavily disliked King John. It is named the
‘Tupper’s Tale’ and took place early December 1926. The
legend goes to describe a young maid, named Emma that
used the Silent Pool to bathe in. One day while bathing, she
noticed King John looking at her and realized he was
advancing towards her. Uncomforted by this, she began to
move away and accidentally slipped into the deep end of the
pool. The legend details that King John made no effort to
save her. As he abandoned the area, a feather from his hat
falls into the lake, producing the evidence that proves his
involvement. As the maid is left screaming for help, her
brother hears her and plunges himself into the lake to save
her. Not realizing the true depth of the lake, he fails and
unfortunately; both drown.
