Scott Rains has extensive experience researching and advocating for universal design and accessibility in the travel industry. He has worked as a researcher, publisher, director, and fellow focusing on applying universal design principles. Some of his roles include directing SeniorNet, researching universal design at UC Santa Cruz, and being a fellow at ZeroDivide. He has published several articles and presentations on universal design and inclusive tourism. Rains has a D.Min in pastoral ministry and MA in pastoral ministry and has received honors for his work researching accessibility in South African tourism.
