4. ACTIVITY “Hold on! Let go!”
Objective: Identify the symbiotic
relationship that exists among organisms.
5. UNLOCKING DIFFICULTIES
1.Mutual- Both shares; Commensal
organisms that benefit from the other
without any harm.
2.Parasite- an organism that benefits and
gives harm to others.
3.Host- an organism that can be harmed or
not affected at all
6. RULES AND REGULATIONS!
• Remove all unnecessary things on the table.
• Avoid playing and making noise while doing the
activity.
• Follow the procedures.
• Clear the area after the activity
7. SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP
• Symbiotic relationships are the close
associations formed between pairs of
species. They come in a variety of forms,
such as parasitism (where one species
benefits and the other is harmed) and
commensalism (where one species benefits
and the other is neither harmed nor
helped).
8. SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP
•Mutualism – Both Benefit
Example butterfly and flower
•Commensalism – One benefit, one
is not affected at all
Example bird living in a tree
•Parasitism- One is Benefited, one
is being harmed.
Example lice in the human hair
9. Do you think Symbiotic
Relationship is
important?
10. IMPORTANCE OF SYMBIOTIC
RELATIONSHIP
•Symbiotic relationship is important to
interact with other organisms to
survive. In a way, it also gives a huge
contribution to the ecological balance in
our ecosystem.
