The team chose menu #1 as the 7 day diet menu because it contains a lot of cabbage soup and bananas, which are nutritious but also excludes carbs other than potatoes. Menu #2 was selected as the normal diet menu as it includes protein, fats, water, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates while having almost no red meat and many fat-free products and whole grains. Menu #3 was not chosen as a diet menu since it provides excess protein, fats and carbohydrates with an unhealthy breakfast and too much meat and fat.
