Dennis Rader was the BTK serial killer who murdered 10 victims in Wichita, Kansas between 1974-1991. He would stalk and gather information about his victims' daily lives before killing them, often by strangulation. Rader had a sexual fetish involving women's underwear and was intelligent yet psychopathic with no remorse. He was arrested in 2005 after resurfacing and confessing to the murders in detail. Rader received 10 consecutive life sentences with no possibility of parole for 175 years.

The killer taunted police with ciphers and letters and was never identified. Crime scenes were processed using techniques like triangulation, baselines, and polar coordinates to map evidence and recreate the crimes. The Zodiac killer remains one of the most infamous unsolved serial murder cases.

Serial murderer – an introduction
The crime of manslaughter has been known for a long time, to be specifically the early 1600’s but the initial case of a serial murderer was in the year 1888, named, Jack the Ripper, who killed and mutilated five prostitutes in the East London. Field experts have stated that at any time, the United States has around 50 active serial murderers, owing to the fact that arroba the year multiple homicides have occurred. Now the question arises, who is a serial killer?
A person possessing a specific emotional drive to kill mercilessly is termed as a serial murderer. These murders, killings, manslaughters, or homicides are generally done in a different way that distinguishes one serial murderer from another. The killer often has a sign that they are distinguished with. Serial murderers are kept in the page as being mass- slayers. The only difference being that serial murderers do not naturally kill the way mass murderers/ slayers do, i.e. mass slayers don’t leave breaks in committing the merciless murders. On the other hand, serial murderers tend to have a distinct feature that reflects the fact that they are murderers with a psychotic overdrive (Ellens, 2011).
Jeffrey Dahmer
Nearly 25 years ago, one of America’s most infamous serial murderers, Jeffrey Dahmer, a paedophile, and a cannibal, was confronted, attacked and mercilessly slayed while cleaning the bathroom of a prison. His span of crime ranged from June 18, 1978 till July 19, 1991.
Jeffrey Dahmer, also known as Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, was an American serial murderer and a sex criminal who brutally raped and then killed 17 men and boys between the years 1978 to 1991. Several of those later homicides consisted of preservation of several body parts of the victims, necrophilia and cannibalism. Though he was initially diagnosed with several mental diseases like borderline personality disorder, a psychotic disorder, and schizotypal personality disorder, Dahmer was found to be legitimately stable at his probation.
He was sentenced for fifteen terms of life custody on February 15, 1992 for the fifteen of the sixteen homicides that he had committed in Wisconsin. Later, he was condemned to a sixteenth term of life custody for an additional slaughter in 1978 in Ohio. Dahmer was crushed to death by Christopher Scarver On November 28th, 1994 at the Columbia Correctional Institution (Martens, 2011).

It is reported by witnesses that as an infant, Dahmer was deprived of attention and love that a child expects from his parents. It is also reported that his mother was identified as a stressed, covetous, and argumentative lady who often quarrelled with her husband and their neighbours. The Zodiac Killer was a serial killer who operated in Northern California in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He claimed to have killed 37 victims, though police only confirmed seven killings. He taunted police and the public by sending encrypted letters with clues to his identity but was never caught. Some key facts are that he committed crimes in the San Francisco Bay area, left DNA evidence on stamps of taunting letters, and was likely a psychopath who enjoyed attention but blended in to avoid capture.

“Ted Bundy V.S The Zodiac Killer”
Ted Bundy and The Zodiac Killer have a few things in common with each other, one being that they both are serial killers. In the 1970s Ted Bundy raped and murdered young women in several states, being connected to at least thirty-six murders. However The Zodiac Killers identity remains unknown, but is linked to at least seven murders in California.
Theodore “Ted” Bundy was born on November 24, 1946 in Burlington, Vermont. During that time if you got pregnant before marriage in very religious families was considered scandalous and wrong. Eleanor Cowell was twenty-two years old and unmarried when she had her son. Growing up in a deeply religious family, Eleanor had her son at a home for unwed mothers in Vermont. To hide he was an “illegitimate child”, Bundy was raised as the adopted child of his grandparents and was told his mother was his sister. (A&E Television Network) The identity of his father remains unknown. At the age of three he became in love with the idea of knives. He was shy but a very smart child who did well in school. The older Ted got the more the darker side of character started to release. At first very popular, happy and smart at school in junior high once Ted reached high school he became less social not knowing how talk to girls or people in general, seeming less happy and his academic process seem to go down. In 1966 Ted met the love his life Stephanie Brooks. She was everything Ted wanted: beauty, money, class, and influence. But Bundy’s lack of confidence, and use of manipulation ruined the relationship. Stephanie broke up with Ted due to feeling that he was immature and too childish. Dropping in and out of different schools he finally majored in psychology and was accepted into a law school. Ted also got involved with politics receiving a letter of recommendation from the republican governor of Washington. During this time women in Seattle and Oregon area went missing. Ted moved to Utah in 1974 to attend law school when women started disappearing from there too. About a year later he was pulled over with tools including a crowbar, facemask, rope and handcuffs.(A&E Television Network) Following that was when Bundy started getting convicted of kidnap and murder. While Bundy was on trial for the murders and kidnappings he managed to escape from prison. In result his last attack was to the Chi Omega house where he raped and murder many girls. During this time he also kidnapped and killed a 12-year-old girl. He then shocked everyone by calling Carole Ann Boone to the witness stand and marrying her. Three years later she divorced him after realizing Bundy did commit the murders and gave birth to this daughter. After Bundy tried to save his life countless of times, he was sentenced to death on January 24th, 1989. Right before his execution he had one last interview. The national review noted that Bundy stated in the interv.

Lizzie Borden
Andrew and Abby Borden were bludgeoned to death with a hatchet in their home. Lizzie Borden, Andrew's daughter, was suspected and arrested due to inconsistencies in her alibi and a troubled relationship with her stepmother. At trial, evidence was presented of Lizzie's attempts to purchase poison and contradictions in her testimony. However, the jury found Lizzie not guilty after 90 minutes of deliberation. The author believes the verdict was influenced by Lizzie's status as a woman from a wealthy family and that the evidence suggested she was guilty, though technology of the time could not prove it conclusively.
Ted Bundy
Ted Bundy was a serial killer who murdered dozens of women across several states in the 1970s. His crimes were not linked until eyewitnesses provided a name and description. After escaping prison, Bundy continued killing, leaving evidence in Florida. He was finally arrested after a traffic stop where police found evidence in his vehicle. His killings highlighted issues with communication between law enforcement agencies and helped establish databases now used to link criminal cases.
Albert Fish
Albert Fish was a serial killer and cannibal who was active in the 1920s-1930s in New York City. He lured children away from their families under false pretenses before torturing, raping, and murdering them. In 1934, Fish was apprehended after sending a disturbing letter to the family of one of his victims, 10-year-old Grace Budd, describing what he had done to her. He confessed to killing several children and was eventually executed by electric chair for his crimes, seeing the execution as his final thrill.
Jeffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey Dahmer was a serial killer and cannibal who murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He would lure victims back to his home, where he would drug, rape, murder, and dissect them. He kept body parts of his victims, including heads and genitalia. In 1991, a potential victim escaped and led police back to Dahmer's apartment, where they found disturbing altars and human remains. Dahmer was convicted and sentenced to over 900 years in prison. In 1994, he was beaten to death by another inmate.

Troy Davis was executed on September 21, 2011 for the 1989 murder of an off-duty police officer, despite maintaining his innocence until the end. Witnesses who testified against him had since recanted, and reports claimed another man admitted to the shooting. While some argue the death penalty provides justice for victims, others argue it simply passes suffering to new victims and does not truly remedy the initial crime. There is also debate around whether the death penalty deters crime or if race plays a role in sentencing.

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.

Mutation Testing for Task-Oriented Chatbots
Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.

- 5. Otera Family Massacre After stalking his prey for some time, Dennis made his move and took a whole family to their graves. He suffocated the father and son with plastic bags. Strangled the mother with a rope and made the daughter hang herself from a drainage pipe.
- 6. An Unfortunate April 4th • An unexpected Kathryn Bright was attacked by our friendly neighbor Dennis Rader. Failing to stay alive and fend off her stalker Kathryn was stabbed once in the back and once in the abdomen and died. This unusual method was of disliking to Dennis. He then took an unexpected break for about 3 years. Before finding another succulent prey.

Legal Outcome Dennis Rader arrested on Feb. 25, 2005 He gave his account of the murders He also noted that he wanted to resurface for two reasons David Lohr’s story on Tru TV and a book that was written by Robert Beattie about the BTK Killer. Dennis said that he wanted his story to be told his way. Formally convicted and charged of 10 homicides on Feb. 28, 2005.
- 9. Cont. During the time of the murders the state of Kansas did not have the death penalty therefore Dennis Rader was not eligible for The Death Sentence. On June 27, Rader changed his public defender’s plea from not guilty to guilty. Rader was sentenced to 10 consecutive life sentences with no parole.
- 10. F.U.N F.A.C.T.S On the very important date of March 5th, 2005 ( My Birthday ) media reported multiple verified sources the Rader confessed to the murders. While being arrested and read his Miranda Rights a police officer asked Dennis “Mr. Rader do you know why you’re going downtown?” to which he replied, “Oh, I have my suspicions, why?”
