2. Science Materials needed:
Collections of natural objects: groups of similar nature objects like shells, leaves,
rocks and plastic bugs. They need to be labled and stored where they are readily
accessible most of the day.
Living things: living objects that the children can care for and observe. Some
examples would be a class pet like a fish, a plant or a bird window feeder.
Activities: experimental magnet sets, a magnifying glasss and objects to observe,
planting seeds and cooking foods that change when mixed or cooled.

4. Diversity
In the collections I would use things from places other tha US. For example,I would
try to get leaves from trees from different regions. With the replicas of animals I
would get animals from seas that students are from outside of the US.
When we look at the weather for the day I would look up and discuss the weather
where my new to the area students were from and discuss any similarities or
differences.
6. Teachers Role
The teacher ma need to encourage initial interest like showing the student how
the magnets work. The teacher would also need to assist in teaching projects.
