School health services provide comprehensive nursing care to students, staff, and their families. There are three components of school health programs: health services, health education, and environmental health. Health services include activities like health screening, case finding, counseling, health promotion, and emergency care. The school health team consists of nurses, physicians, dentists, parents, teachers, and other professionals who work together to address the health needs of students. Common health problems among school-aged children include learning difficulties, infectious diseases, accidents, behavioral issues, physical problems, and social/sexual health concerns.
