Children should follow several safety rules when riding the school bus or waiting for it. They should never run into the street and always look both ways before crossing. There is a "danger zone" around the bus where the driver cannot see, extending 10 feet in front and all around the rear of the bus. Children should wait for the bus away from the curb, be quiet, and not push when getting on or off once it stops.
