Vale do lobo, human centered design (engels)srprs.me
This document discusses persuasion tactics and techniques. It outlines two routes to influence - the central route using logical consideration and potential attitude change, and the peripheral route using superficial qualities and temporary behavior change. It also discusses how humans are social beings and persuasion aims to change attitudes or behaviors without coercion or deception. A number of principles of persuasion design are listed, such as reduction, tunneling, tailoring, and using authority, reciprocity, scarcity, and consistency. The document questions whether persuasion techniques can go too far and notes that all design has some persuasive elements and ethics depend on the designer's intentions.

The document describes an experiment to investigate what conditions are needed to activate dormant yeast cells. It involves placing yeast in two ziplock bags, one with just water and one with water and cookies. If the bag with cookies shows signs of yeast activity like bubbles, it would indicate that yeast needs both water and food to become active. The purpose is to determine whether yeast needs all three variables of warmth, water, and food or just some combination to break dormancy.
This document provides an overview of the 5th grade curriculum and programs at Garden Gate Elementary for the upcoming school year. It includes introductions of the teaching staff, an agenda for the evening, and details about core subjects like language arts, reading, math, science and social studies. It also outlines extracurricular activities, homework policies, communication methods and opportunities for parents to volunteer.
This document provides an overview of key topics to review for a living systems exam, including the main human body systems, pathways of nutrients and waste, photosynthesis and cellular respiration, vascular plants, and a science notebook assignment. Specifically, it outlines reviewing the digestive, respiratory, circulatory, and excretory systems; how nutrients and gases move through the body; the definition and purpose of sugars and sap; how energy transfers from the sun to plants and animals; the process of cellular respiration; plant transport systems and leaf classification; and completing review questions, lab activities, and vocabulary in a science notebook.
A food chain describes how organisms transfer energy by consuming other organisms. Plants are producers that make their own food through photosynthesis, using raw materials like carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight. Herbivores eat plants, and carnivores eat herbivores and other carnivores, playing the role of consumers in the ecosystem. All cells require energy from food, with plants making their own through photosynthesis and animals obtaining food by consuming other organisms.
The document describes two experiments that investigate factors that affect the rate of evaporation. The first experiment tests whether location affects evaporation by placing wet paper towels in different locations and measuring how quickly they dry. The second experiment tests whether surface area affects evaporation by evaporating water from containers of different shapes and sizes and measuring the evaporation rate from each. The experiments aim to determine whether location and surface area are variables that influence the evaporation rate and to identify the relationship between these variables and evaporation.
The document describes an investigation to determine where water goes when something dries. Students placed wet paper towels in open and closed cups to observe the drying process. They found that the paper towel in the open cup dried out as the water evaporated into the surrounding air. However, the towel in the closed cup remained wet since the water could not escape and evaporate. Evaporation is the process where liquid water changes into an invisible water vapor gas.
Scientists classify objects by organizing them into groups based on similar properties and behaviors. Leaf classification involves organizing leaves into groups based on their vein patterns, including palmate leaves which have several large veins extending from the leaf stem attachment, pinnate leaves which have one large vein with smaller veins branching off, and parallel veins which have many small veins running the length of the leaf. Scientists use classification to organize information.
The document discusses various topics related to water sources and usage. It provides information about the water cycle, where local water comes from, a map of water sources in California, challenge questions about different cities' water sources, and local water sources for a school. It also includes an activity about calculating the "water price" of items in a meal based on the amount of water required to produce each item.
The document defines key terms related to the respiratory and circulatory systems, including cells, oxygen, carbon dioxide, heart, blood, arteries, veins, capillaries, and lungs. It explains that the circulatory system transports substances to cells and removes waste, while the respiratory system provides gas exchange between the blood and atmosphere. It also summarizes that cells need oxygen, water, food and waste removal to survive, and the circulatory system delivers these through transport of blood from the heart, through arteries and capillaries to cells, and back to the heart through veins.
This document summarizes Stefan Wobben's presentation on developing a creative mindset. The presentation discusses how positive change is a result of both mindset and tools. It encourages being positive, wondering why, going out and playing, doing scary things, giving a crap, and saying "yes" instead of "but." Sketching and coming up with lots of ideas are presented as tools to spark creativity. The audience then engages in an exercise where they sketch ideas to address challenges and vote on the best concepts. The goal is to have fun generating ideas and refining them into 2-minute pitches.

1. Schildpad en haas
Vrij vertaald van ‘Tortoise and Hare’
20. Als je deel uitmaakt
van een sterk team
win je de grand prize
