SCANPO's mission is to serve, support, and strengthen over 600 nonprofit members across South Carolina for the benefit of the state's citizens. Nonprofits make up a significant portion of South Carolina's economy and community, employing over 162,000 people representing 7% of the state's workforce in 2010. SCANPO aims to represent these charitable organizations and protect their ability to feed the hungry, educate children, and offer other important community services.
