It is simple. We all learn in school how it is best to wear a white shirt on hot days to beat the heat. White reflects the heat off, keeping you cool while dark colors absorb heat and make you feel hot. Using this principle, painting your roof white or installing light colored roofs will help you keep your home cool. This is what is known as the cool roof. Cool roofs stay cool by reflecting and emitting as much the sun’s energy. With minimum heat transferred into your home, cool roofs help you cut down your cooling expenses and considerably reduce the energy bills.
It's about the Fire & Safety and Its Precaution. It will help you to know some Types of Fires, sources of ignition, things that work as fuel. I hope it will help you to understand the fires and their safety.

We are living in an era where data from multiple devices and connected objects and software systems are being intertwined to create a multitude of new services and performances– all without ruining the consumer experience.
If Apple Watch is successful, it will consolidate and standardize our expectations of wearable technology, in the same way that the iPhone did for the mobile market in 2007. This broad acceptance of the digitally-enhanced self will pave the way for other technologies that are still emerging at the fringes of the consumer domain.
A brief overview of the growing mCommerce market, its characteristics and impacting trends. Our analysis looks into different segments of the industry: App-based services, On-Demand Services, Marketplace, Mobile Retail, Retail Enablement and Mobile Payments, and provides overall predictions for the future of the industry.

Threats to mobile devices are more prevalent and increasing in scope and complexity. Users of mobile devices desire to take full advantage of the features
available on those devices, but many of the features provide convenience and capability but sacrifice security. This best practices guide outlines steps the users can take to better protect personal devices and information.
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

21. Turn the thermostat down to the lowest
comfortable temperature setting.
and set the clock so that it is on for less time.
22. Remind everyone to keep the doors and
windows shut when the heating is on, to
keep the warmth in.
23. You wear clothes to keep in your body heat.
Find out if your
home is
insulated to
keep the
warmth from
escaping
through the
roof.
24. You can turn off the lights when you
don’t need them!
25. Suggest that the grown ups who do the
shopping buy energy saving light bulbs.
26. Switch off! Don’t leave it on standby!
If you can see a light
like this when the TV is
off, it is using almost
as much energy as if it
was on!
27. Turn off tap while cleaning your
teeth, shaving or washing your
face.
Take a short shower rather than
a bath.
Only use the washing machine
and the dishwasher when you
can put on a full load.
28. Ask the people who put the kettle on to
fill it only with the amount of water that
is needed.
That way it will take less energy to bring it
to the boil.
