Hyperbole is defined as exaggeration that represents something as beyond normal bounds to expose its faults or flaws. There are several parts of exaggeration including caricature, which exaggerates a physical feature; incongruity, which presents things that are absurdly out of place; and parody, which imitates a style or person to ridicule the original. Reversal is also discussed as presenting the opposite of normal order through reversing events or hierarchical roles.
