DESCRIPTION
The application used is UNITRAX. Unitrax® is a comprehensive, transfer agency
record keeping system that does the following:
 Maintains shareholder data,
 Processes transactions on different investment products
 Administers accounts (e.g., tax and investment behavior) based on
account type,
 Calculates fees and commissions for different investors and their account
types
Unitrax is built on an IBM AS400 platform. Its features are reliability,
Consistency and accuracy. All of Unitrax is based on tables that serve as an
underlay and define the parameters of every area of Unitrax. The investor can have
multiple accounts under the same investor number. Each account can have multiple
investments, and each investment has multiple transactions.
Unitrax uses a normalized database, which means entering the information at one
point in the system makes it accessible from all the other areas. Unitrax is table
driven, thus allowing us to have one product that is flexible enough to suit any
client’s needs.
