The current platform is based on physical hardware running the related Network Functions (NF)
and several manual activities are performed by VzW operations teams in order to perform
infrastructure and customer related activities in the platform.
Verizon decided that three VNFs will be deployed in a private hosted cloud:
• F5 Diameter Routing Agent referred as vDRA
• Cisco EPC Gateway, referred as vEXGW
• PCRF, which vendor still under definition, referred as vPCRF
