Residents of the Meadowbrook neighborhood in Saratoga requested that the city install no parking signs on two streets due to traffic safety concerns. Cars parked along Carniel Ave. and Sumner Dr. near intersections with high speed roads pose dangers to vehicles and pedestrians with limited visibility. California vehicle code authorizes restricting parking within 100 feet of intersections. The residents asked the city to install no parking signs on Carniel Ave. between two intersections and on Sumner Dr. between two other intersections to address these safety issues.

4. Additional benefit to prevent burglars from hiding/loitering

Most of the residents of this neighborhood, known as
Meadowbrook consisting of 48 homes on 4 streets, support this
request. Upon learning only recently that we individually had
these concerns, we formed a shared voice to bring these issues
to this committee.
