Residents of the Meadowbrook neighborhood in Saratoga requested that the city install no parking signs on two streets due to safety concerns from parked cars. Cars parked along Carniel Ave. and Sumner Dr. are dangerous because they obscure views of the high speed streets near those areas. California vehicle code authorizes restricting parking within 100 feet of intersections for safety. The residents provided maps and justification for no parking areas on those streets.
We have been an active supporter of "CARE" since 1999 hosting major donor benefits and spreading the word through opportunities such as the Really Awesome Women in Real Estate meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico where I presented a speech using this Power Point Presentation. We were also invited to present at the 2006 Real Trends convention in 2006. We believe that the ability to have basics such as clean water to drink, one of CARE\'s featured projects should be a right rather than a privilege.
