2. The First Tweet And Buzz
This tweet was made in 2018 and caused a
social media frenzy on twitter. It was a post
that was supposed to warn of a negative
reaction of getting more intoxicated than
what you expect to happen from your typical
wine.
This post could be considered to have caused
a negative or positive buzz depending on how
you look at it. It warned of negative
consequences from drinking it. But because
many people's goals are to be very intoxicated
from drinking Alcohol.
It ended up creating a positive Buzz for
Capriccio.
Then after seeing the post on twitter many
people decided to find out for themselves.
Which than began the tweet / Brand to go
viral
3. WHY VIRAL?
So why did this tweet become viral? First, I
think it started because of the humor
aspect of it. Just as Jonah Berger
referenced humor is one of the best ways
to make something go viral and have
people catch on. Especially when it come
from the despair or negative consequences
others experience.
Also the way that the tweet is made can be
read as very harsh and “ loud “ which
would make someone pay more attention
to it than an average post. That would’ve
given it a generic review.
This post also referenced Bill Cosby a
Controversial famous person to add to the
post and maybe catch your attention even
more by seeing a familiar name.
A Combination of all these things is what
gave this tweet the viral upstart that other
drinking companies wish they could have.
5. RESPONCES / COMMENTS
So as you can see many people
started to respond to the tweet and
even made it a challenge for other
people to try.
So not just did it make the brand go
viral but it acting made people to
take action such as AIDA in
marketing refers to. Now more
people are buying the sangria and
boosting sales for the company.
6. Conclusion /
Takeaway
◦ I Think in conclusion this brand had a viral tweet
that became famous because of the influencer of a
person's twitter account . Maybe Unknowingly had
elements of humor that caused a giant buzz that was
positive for the company's brand.
I Think marketers should look at this as a good way
to use their influencers in building brand awareness
and find ways to incorporate humor into their
marketing campaigns and maybe even use their
influencers more often to make tweets / post like
this.
