The keynote speakers on day 1 will discuss innovation and day 2 will focus on inspiration. 6. Dongjin Koh
President, Mobile Communication Business
at Samsung Electronics
Mr. Dongjin Koh has been President of Mobile at Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.
since January 1, 2016. Previously he held a series of executive roles at Samsung
Electronics, most recently as the head of the Mobile R&D organization. In this
capacity he launched a series of market-shaping products, including its mobile
payment system.

7. Injong Rhee
Executive Vice President, Head of R&D,
Software and Services, Samsung
Injong Rhee is the global head of R&D, Software and Services
and Samsung Pay of Samsung Electronics. Under his leadership,
Samsung has become the leader of Mobile Enterprise Security
Solutions with his invention, KNOX. The KNOX platform, embedded
into practically all Samsung Android and Tizen smartphones,
provides the baseline security protection and data leakage
protection for the operating systems.

8. Pranav Mistry
Global Vice President, Samsung
Pranav Mistry is a renowned scientist and inventor. Mistry’s contribution to the
fields such as Wearable Computing, Virtual & Augmented Reality and Gestural
Computing puts him in the elite list of pioneers that shape the future of digital
world. Inventor, Designer and Engineer from heart, he is honored with numerous
prestigious awards. ‘Inventor of the Year’ by Popular Science, MIT TR35 - one of
the top 35 innovators in the world under the age of 35. Creativity 50 – the list of
top 50 creative people in world, ‘Young Global Leader’ by World Economic Forum
to list a few. In his role as Global Vice President at Samsung, Pranav leads the
research and development of our future products, the Next Big Thing.

10. John Riccitiello
Chairman and CEO, Unity Technologies
John Riccitiello is Chairman and CEO of Unity Technologies. John served as the
CEO of Electronic Arts until 2013. He originally joined EA in 1997 as President and
COO. John left EA in 2004 to start Elevation Partners and returned to EA in 2007
as its CEO. John holds a Bachelors of Science degree from UC, Berkeley and lives in
San Francisco.

11. John Pleasants
Executive Vice President, Samsung Media Solutions
Center America
John Pleasants serves as executive vice president of Samsung Media Solutions
Center America (MSCA), leading its U.S. content and services strategy with a focus
on strengthening and expanding the company’s offerings portfolio. Pleasants
brings more than 20 years of experience in the digital media and gaming space.
Before joining Samsung, Pleasants served as co-president of Disney Interactive
Media Group. Prior to Disney Interactive, Pleasants held senior management
roles at Playdom, later acquired by The Walt Disney Company, Electronic Arts and
Ticketmaster. Pleasants has overseen the acquisitions, mergers and integrations
of 34 companies totaling approximately $1.5 billion, and his leadership has helped
successfully steer companies into new software product categories. John holds a
bachelor’s degree from Yale and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

12. Emily Becher
GM Samsung Accelerator
Emily Becher is Vice President and Global Head for Samsung Accelerator. Emily
is focused on growing innovation across Samsung’s network of global devices,
working closely with entrepreneurs and guiding product development, as well
as strategic partnerships. In her role, Emily draws on an extensive media and
technology background, most recently serving as co-founder of mobile travel
startup Travlist. As SVP & GM at AOL, Emily led a dozen commerce and classified
businesses, including AOL Autos and Careers, Autoblog and Gadling. Prior to AOL,
Emily worked at Yahoo! as a category development officer and also previously
served as director of Hearst New Media Ventures, where she helped found and
invested in over a dozen portfolio businesses. Emily began her lifelong passion
for technology as an OpenDoc evangelist for Apple Computer. Emily holds a B.A.
in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Stanford
University. She lives in New York City with her husband and two children.

WHAT’S POSSIBLE WITH TECHNOLOGY?
Samsung is planning a special conference experience for
young students at SDC 2016! With the focus of “What’s possible
with Technology”, local classes from middle schools and high
schools will have the opportunity to attend the conference, see
a panel of technology experts, take part in a guided tour of the
Pavilion and have the opportunity to see, touch, play with and
learn about the latest technology available today. Samsung will
be teaching students how to code using Scratch to program a
remote control car, then have them participate in a RC car race!

Samsung is celebrating the diverse Bay Area community by
partnering with the San Francisco Film Society at the 58th
San Francisco International Film Festival, April 23 – May 7.
