This document provides an overview of the SAMR model of technology integration created by Dr. Ruben Puentedura. It begins with background on the presenter and the technology available at their school. It then summarizes the four levels of the SAMR model: substitution, augmentation, modification, and redefinition. Examples are provided for each level. Links to additional resources on the SAMR model and videos demonstrating different levels are included. The document encourages teachers to analyze how they currently use technology and to modify uses to higher levels within the SAMR model. It concludes with contact and feedback information.

Previous 6 years as a K-5 Technology Teacher

work
High School (370+ students) is in 4th year of 1:1 Laptop
Program.
4th-8th grade (500+ students) has 7 laptop carts of 25
computers each to check out.
Kdg-3rd grade (350+ students) has 2 laptop carts of 25
computers each to check out along with an iPad cart of 25
to check out. Each teacher also has 2 laptops in their room
for classroom use.
7 trays of 10 iPads each (70 total) spread throughout the
Special Education teachers within the school district.
