Sampuso, which means "One Heart" in English, is a Filipino culture club open to all students at Pierce College. The club aims to educate members about Filipino culture while also helping them succeed in college. At a recent meeting, club officers handed out an agenda and started an icebreaker game to get members interacting. Students then shared advice and tips to help each other be successful in their college careers. The president reminded everyone about upcoming club events before the meeting concluded and members socialized further.

2. Sampuso, or One Heart, in English is a club that is open to anyone who wants to join. Their main goal is to not only educate and immerse their members in the Filipino culture, but also help to them succeed as a college student.

3. Sampuso is a club in many schools but I visited the Sampuso at Pierce College to observe what they do during this meeting. I got there before the meeting started and they were still setting up the classroom where they will have their meeting.

4. They share their talents and teach each other what they know. Whether it’s a jam session with a guitar, to sharing a story from their basketball practice they just came from. (gentlemen in the back) Micah the president about to start the meeting

5. The meeting starts and the officers of the club hands out itineraries for today and begins the game called “Heads Up 7UP” as the Icebreaker

6. It was all fun and games that’s why a few were peeking Not everyone was sure what to do but some were really excited to play. They were excited to be a part of this multicultural club.

7. Students take part and share some advice about their college career. Students in this club have many opportunity to receive many tips and advices to be successful in college.

8. After all the games and the college advice seminar, the president reminds the club about future events that the club will be doing.

9. The meeting concludes and the members mingle to get to know each other and to broaden their cultural spectrum about one another.
