Sample Brochure- Modern Systematic Landfills
1. MODERN
SYSTEMATIC
LANDFILLS
THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS
OF IMPROPER WASTE
DISPOSAL
Poor waste management contributes to
climate change and air pollution, as well as
having a direct impact on many ecosystems
and species. Landfills, the waste hierarchy's
last resort, emit methane, a powerful
greenhouse gas linked to climate change.
'' Let the Future
Generation breath,
practice Proper
Waste Disposal.''
2. PROPER WASTE
DISPOSAL AND ITS
BENEFITS
OUR GOAL
The 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle -
can be used to properly dispose of and
manage waste. Reducing refers to
lowering the amount of trash/garbage
generated. Reusing materials means using
them more than once, whereas recycling
means making new materials or products
out of trash/garbage. Proper waste
disposal improves air and water quality
while also lowering greenhouse gas
emissions. It aids in reducing resource
extraction as well as pollution and energy
usage associated with the production of
new materials.
The plan that we want to
implement in our community
to minimize waste when
people utilizes materials and
resources is the use of
modern systematic landfill.
Also, to encourage people
in our community to make
proper garbage container. So
that when the garbage hauler
collected the waste it's
already segregated.
EFFECTS OF
IMPROPER
WASTE DISPOSAL
Land pollution occurs when waste ends
up on soil or another land that should be
processed instead. This garbage does
not just sit there; the contents degrade,
whether through rotting or time, and seep
into the surrounding area. This means that
the dirt and the surrounding areas absorb
pollution and become hazardous to
humans and animals.
01
Whatever waste does not end up in landfills or
other disposal zones eventually ends up in the
sea or other bodies of water. It then degrades in
the ocean, gradually infecting the water and
choking out the life that water supports. This
process increases the toxicity of the water,
rendering freshwater unsafe to drink and any
body of water toxic to those who swim in it.
02
According to a basic understanding of air
pollution, greenhouse gases accumulate in
the environment and create enormous global
climate change. Excess gases entering the
atmosphere and causing these problems are
exacerbated by improper waste disposal.
03
Waste contributes to the creation of
gases that deplete the ozone layer. As a
result, the weather worsens and the ice
caps melt, raising sea levels and having a
negative impact on natural ecosystems
and the homes of billions of people.
