member to provide their existing (Foreign) card number to be passed to
GNA (Global New Account) for global transfer processing in New
Accounts.
The account number field which is critical for global transfer processing
is either not available on the e-App or if available, is hard coded
preventing the CM from submitting a foreign account number.
The Foreign account number is important to identify a global transfer
application on GNA without which the application will most likely be
declined due to lack of a local credit bureau history resulting in poor
customer experience. A separate process exists in New Accounts to
handle these applications which are in most instances approved based
on the card Members American Express credit history in the country of
origin.
