Saleh Dawabsheh started volunteering at media outlets after graduating business school with a desire to be a presenter. He filmed social work activities to attract volunteers to share on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. His growing online presence led to opportunities like training courses and speaking engagements. Dawabsheh has since specialized in social media, working as a social media marketing manager and online presence specialist while continuing to offer training to others.

2. When I was a child, I wanted to be an astronaut.
Thank goodness I decided to become a Social Media Specialist!

3. Because as I got older, I found self satisfaction from creating positive change
around me. Since working as Social Media Specialist, “change” became my
middle name.

4. While I was at business school, I had a burning desire to be a TV or radio
presenter. So two years after graduating, I started volunteering at different media
outlets.

5. How it started..
I needed to recruit volunteers for the activities some friends and I were
organizing. so I filmed the activities in the hope of attracting more volunteers.
My only platforms for this outreach were Youtube, Facebook and Twitter.

6. I expanded the video series to include
other social work activities and topics.

Eventually, my channel caught the
attention of major satelite channels
such as Al Jazeera, Al Arabeyeh, and
Palestine TV.

7. I got invited to Sweden soon after that where I took
advanced courses in social media at Hyper Island
Academy. When I came back to Palestine, I decided to
specialize in Social Media and it became my career.
