                                                           Programs and Initiatives
Navy Women e-Mentor Program: Provides participants broad and easy access to high quality mentoring through a cutting edge online
mentoring program where mentees receive guidance, career counseling, and support from more experienced active duty and veteran
women leaders. This program is open to all Active Duty and Reserve women in the Navy. For more information visit:
www.academywomen.org/ementors/navywomen
Career Intermission Pilot Program (CIPP): Currently in its second year, the pilot program allows officers and enlisted members to “off
ramp” from active duty to the ready reserves for up to 3 years while retaining health care, exchange/commissary benefits, and receive a
limited monthly stipend of 2 times 1/30th of basic pay. The Navy will also provide a one time move to a CONUS location of the member’s
choice for the duration of the “off-ramp.” For more information about the program guidelines refer to NAVADMIN 301/09.
2010 CAPT Joy Bright Hancock (JBH) Leadership Awards: The Navy is currently soliciting for nominations for the JBH Awards.
The JBH Leadership Awards honor the visionary leadership of service members (both officer and enlisted) whose ideals and dedication
foster a positive working environment for reinforcing and furthering the integration of women into the Navy. The JBH winners will be
honored at the 2010 SSLA Women's Symposium recognizing their inspirational leadership of Navy and Marine Corps service members on
Active or Reserve duty status. For more information about the nomination requirements refer to NAVADMIN 115/10.

for motivated Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard service women. Goals are to foster and encourage education, networking, professional
