Feedback Strategies using Blackboard Summer Institute 2017 By Amanda Moras and Nicole Trudell
• Crocodoc Provide feedback to students by highlighting, adding comments and making edits directly to their papers submitted on Blackboard. • Discussion Boards Foster class discussion, and embed videos to discussion boards. • Rubrics Provide guidelines to students and add feedback to each section of the rubric, as well as the rubric as a whole. Blackboard Feedback Tools
Discussion Boards DEMO Demo Topics Include • Creating the discussion board. • Various discussion board settings. • Grading the discussion board.
Rubrics DEMO Demo Topics Include • Creating the rubric based on the points model. • Adding the rubric to the discussion board/assignments • Grading using the rubric in the grade center
Crocodoc DEMO Demo Topics Include • Submitting an assignment as a student. • Using the crocodoc tools to add comments and edits to paper. • Providing additional feedback through the grade center.
