Magnolia West High School (MWHS) monitors its use of technology through the Texas STaR Chart, which assesses four areas: Teaching and Learning, Educator Preparation and Development, Leadership/Administration, and Infrastructure. MWHS's 2009-2010 results showed scores of 13 in Teaching and Learning, 15 in Educator Preparation, 18 in Leadership/Administration, and 21 in Infrastructure. While improvements have been made in most areas over three years, the plan is to focus teacher in-service training on integrating technology into instruction and online learning to further enhance Teaching and Learning and Educator Preparation.
