PERSONAL INVENTORY ASSESSMENT
Personal inventory assessments helps individuals to see facts as
they are. Individuals must learn not to avoid situations in life
and must be able to face the truth about themselves. Every
individual must be able to see and accept themselves as they
are. Every person must be able to acknowledge their mistakes
willingly and try to amend them. It is the obligation of every
person to look at instances they have been deceitful, selfish,
impure and unloving (Step 10:Continued to take personal
inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it, 2019).
Personal inventories should be taken daily to ensure that
individuals maintain clear integrity.
What did you learn about yourself?
Carrying out the Personal Inventory Assessments has been very
helpful in my life and especially the career life. For most of my
life I have been the reserved kind. I have never been the kind
that talks a lot. I have always let other people take charge even
when I knew I could offer sound solutions. My shy nature have
stopped me from offering solutions and giving plausible ideas.
Personal Inventory Assessment has helped me a lot in
discovering myself. For instance it has helped me realize that I
am shy and reserved, it has also made me realize that there are
situations where I could have offered solutions and ideas but I
did not and let others do it even though they committed errors. I
accepted my mistakes and sought for ways to correct them (Step
10:Continued to take personal inventory and when we were
wrong promptly admitted it, 2019). My bosses knew there was
great potential in me only that I had been enveloping it in my
reserved nature. They were very helpful more so because they
introduced me to the Personal Inventory Assessments. With
time I turned out to be a good leader in my organization.
What did you learn about working in groups?
Upon completing my Personal Inventory Assessment and finally
rediscovering myself I turned out to be a good leader. Being a
leader meant that there were people above and below me in the
organization hierarchy rankings. Every one of us had their roles
to play for the success of the company. Each of the personnel in
the company had their own attributes. In an organizations where
everyone has to work in harmony with the other, interpersonal
skills becomes very crucial (Williams, 2018). Working as an
intermediary between the executive management and the other
staff was not going to be easy but my personal assessment came
in handy.
Like I stated earlier each and every person is skilled in their
own way. As a leader assessing each one of them is the key to
bringing the best out the organization workforce. Some workers
just like me could be shy and reserved and might be keeping
within them helpful solutions for the company. Others might
have other skills which could be very beneficial to the company
but since they are not part of the management they might not
bother in contributing them.
All of this employees should realize that they are part of the
company.as a leader who was molded by the PIA I try hard to
let such individuals realize that they are part of the organization
and their skills and ideas are highly welcome and regarded. No
one should let their potential be buried in unfavorable
characters. If I personally had not undergone the PIA I could
not have realized that I had the potential to be a leader.
Everyone in the team should always bring their ideas and
solution to the company and it is the responsibility of the
organization to make sure they embrace all workers and try to
motivate them so as to bring the best out of them (Williams,
2018).
What is your plan to exploit and develop the attributes
discussed in the assessments?
Currently there exists a rise in the yearning to measure
personality at workplace with the optimism that it can enhance a
group’s efficiency and build happier workforce. There are
various assessments which are common in organizations and
among them are:
Traditional psychometric tests, is perhaps the most common
and most prevalent personality assessment. It can be used both
individually and at work (Harper, 2018). By using a series of
queries to assess whether an individual is reserved or
unreserved, whether they harbor a sensing inclination or
intuitive inclination in the instances of processing information,
whether they fancy to reach decisions by reasoning or emotions
and if they have a assessing or perceiving preference concerning
how the carry out duties.
DiSC, is yet another common personal assessment which gauges
Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness.
Workers who achieve high scores on dominance are
characteristically assured, takes challenges and are open and
honest. Workers with high points on influence are passionate,
positive and cooperative. Those worker with high marks on
steadiness are usually cooperative, reliable, genuine and
empathetic (Harper, 2018). Conscientious workers are usually
precise, competent, reliant and detailed. DiSC is used to assess
all the things which will increase the efficiency of the team.
Occupational Interest Inventory, are strictly intended for
organizational use. It is mainly used for profession guidance,
specialties, imminent career directions, career projection and
informing on career preferences. This scale is very helpful as it
guarantees that workers are competent to their functions by
looking at their career interests and potencies. It usually makes
organizational groups very efficient. Other assessment scales
include; Hogan Personality Inventory, HEXACO Model,
Traitify etc.
As we have learned there are various assessments skills which
are meant to assess various personal attributes. Some of the
personal attributes are hard to know and even those who possess
them might not know they possess them (Williams, 2018).
Among the personal attributes targeted are reserved/unreserved,
passionate, cooperative, competent, reliant, genuine, reliability
etc. the main work of the mentioned assessment scale is to
identify and develop various personal attributes in an
organization to ensure the organizations operates efficiently.
To identify and develop this attributes I will first try to assess
every worker in the company. The assessment will help me in
learning and understanding each of the employees. To assess
and understand the workers I will conduct a sequence of queries
to the workers to find out several attributes about them like;
whether they harbor a sensing inclination or intuitive
inclination in the instances of processing information, whether
an individual is reserved or unreserved etc. Then I will try to
position an individual in one of the sixteen personality kind.
Each personality has their own weaknesses and strengths.
Additionally by use of scale like the DiSC I will be able to
assess a person by mean of scores. I will set a questionnaire and
find out which worker scored e.g. on Dominance, influence,
Steadiness and Conscientiousness (Harper, 2018). I could also
as well use questionnaires to gauge the twelve primary aspects
of professional interests through six sets which are; realistic,
investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional.
Discuss your understanding of how you will use these when
working in organizations.
Organizations are in constant look for efficient and productive
employees who can steer them to higher levels. Employees who
are not competent are bound to make the organization fail in its
delivering of goods and services (Williams, 2018). It is
therefore imperative to make sure that organizations conduct
assessments to understand the workers who work for them so as
to help them develop and give the best to the company.
Throughout my career path I have undergone various Personal
Inventory Assessments and it has helped me to move away from
my old self. Like I said before I was not the kind of person who
loved being on the light constantly and were it not for the PIA I
probably would not be the leader I am today. My leaders played
a big role in helping through the PIA course and therefore I feel
like I too should be of help to my fellow workers.
Once I have carried out the necessary assessments through the
recommended and effective means and I have the needed
required results its time I acted on them. By the end of the
assessment I will already have each attribute of every worker.
Through this I will be able to determine each of the worker’s
weaknesses and strengths. I will then use this attributes to help
them from the study this individuals to get away from their old
selves and into newer workers who are passionate, productive,
unreserved, emphatic, reliant, genuine etc.
A worker who is genuine, passionate, productive, unreserved,
reliant is very important for any organization (Williams, 2018).
This kind of a person even have the potential to be a good
leader. This are the kind of people who give their all for the
progress of the company. It is very important that organizations
try and assess the kind of employees they have at hand as the
fate of a company is mostly at the hands of employees.by being
able to assess and analyze each worker then the company is able
to keep only those who are suitable for its operations.
Additionally the organization could be able through this
assessments discover hidden skills in some of their workers
something that will be of huge benefit for the future of the
company.

Personal inventories should be taken daily to ensure that individuals maintain clear integrity. What did you learn about yourself? Carrying out the Personal Inventory Assessments has been very helpful in my life and especially the career life. For most of my life I have been the reserved kind. I have never been the kind that talks a lot. I have always let other people take charge even when I knew I could offer sound solutions. My shy nature have stopped me from offering solutions and giving plausible ideas. Personal Inventory Assessment has helped me a lot in discovering myself. For instance it has helped me realize that I am shy and reserved, it has also made me realize that there are situations where I could have offered solutions and ideas but I did not and let others do it even though they committed errors. I accepted my mistakes and sought for ways to correct them (Step 10:Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it, 2019). My bosses knew there was great potential in me only that I had been enveloping it in my reserved nature. They were very helpful more so because they introduced me to the Personal Inventory Assessments. With time I turned out to be a good leader in my organization. What did you learn about working in groups? Upon completing my Personal Inventory Assessment and finally rediscovering myself I turned out to be a good leader. Being a leader meant that there were people above and below me in the organization hierarchy rankings. Every one of us had their roles to play for the success of the company. Each of the personnel in the company had their own attributes. In an organizations where
  • 3. everyone has to work in harmony with the other, interpersonal skills becomes very crucial (Williams, 2018). Working as an intermediary between the executive management and the other staff was not going to be easy but my personal assessment came in handy. Like I stated earlier each and every person is skilled in their own way. As a leader assessing each one of them is the key to bringing the best out the organization workforce. Some workers just like me could be shy and reserved and might be keeping within them helpful solutions for the company. Others might have other skills which could be very beneficial to the company but since they are not part of the management they might not bother in contributing them. All of this employees should realize that they are part of the company.as a leader who was molded by the PIA I try hard to let such individuals realize that they are part of the organization and their skills and ideas are highly welcome and regarded. No one should let their potential be buried in unfavorable characters. If I personally had not undergone the PIA I could not have realized that I had the potential to be a leader. Everyone in the team should always bring their ideas and solution to the company and it is the responsibility of the organization to make sure they embrace all workers and try to motivate them so as to bring the best out of them (Williams, 2018). What is your plan to exploit and develop the attributes discussed in the assessments? Currently there exists a rise in the yearning to measure personality at workplace with the optimism that it can enhance a group’s efficiency and build happier workforce. There are various assessments which are common in organizations and among them are: Traditional psychometric tests, is perhaps the most common and most prevalent personality assessment. It can be used both individually and at work (Harper, 2018). By using a series of queries to assess whether an individual is reserved or
  • 4. unreserved, whether they harbor a sensing inclination or intuitive inclination in the instances of processing information, whether they fancy to reach decisions by reasoning or emotions and if they have a assessing or perceiving preference concerning how the carry out duties. DiSC, is yet another common personal assessment which gauges Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. Workers who achieve high scores on dominance are characteristically assured, takes challenges and are open and honest. Workers with high points on influence are passionate, positive and cooperative. Those worker with high marks on steadiness are usually cooperative, reliable, genuine and empathetic (Harper, 2018). Conscientious workers are usually precise, competent, reliant and detailed. DiSC is used to assess all the things which will increase the efficiency of the team. Occupational Interest Inventory, are strictly intended for organizational use. It is mainly used for profession guidance, specialties, imminent career directions, career projection and informing on career preferences. This scale is very helpful as it guarantees that workers are competent to their functions by looking at their career interests and potencies. It usually makes organizational groups very efficient. Other assessment scales include; Hogan Personality Inventory, HEXACO Model, Traitify etc. As we have learned there are various assessments skills which are meant to assess various personal attributes. Some of the personal attributes are hard to know and even those who possess them might not know they possess them (Williams, 2018). Among the personal attributes targeted are reserved/unreserved, passionate, cooperative, competent, reliant, genuine, reliability etc. the main work of the mentioned assessment scale is to identify and develop various personal attributes in an organization to ensure the organizations operates efficiently. To identify and develop this attributes I will first try to assess every worker in the company. The assessment will help me in learning and understanding each of the employees. To assess
  • 5. and understand the workers I will conduct a sequence of queries to the workers to find out several attributes about them like; whether they harbor a sensing inclination or intuitive inclination in the instances of processing information, whether an individual is reserved or unreserved etc. Then I will try to position an individual in one of the sixteen personality kind. Each personality has their own weaknesses and strengths. Additionally by use of scale like the DiSC I will be able to assess a person by mean of scores. I will set a questionnaire and find out which worker scored e.g. on Dominance, influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness (Harper, 2018). I could also as well use questionnaires to gauge the twelve primary aspects of professional interests through six sets which are; realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional. Discuss your understanding of how you will use these when working in organizations. Organizations are in constant look for efficient and productive employees who can steer them to higher levels. Employees who are not competent are bound to make the organization fail in its delivering of goods and services (Williams, 2018). It is therefore imperative to make sure that organizations conduct assessments to understand the workers who work for them so as to help them develop and give the best to the company. Throughout my career path I have undergone various Personal Inventory Assessments and it has helped me to move away from my old self. Like I said before I was not the kind of person who loved being on the light constantly and were it not for the PIA I probably would not be the leader I am today. My leaders played a big role in helping through the PIA course and therefore I feel like I too should be of help to my fellow workers. Once I have carried out the necessary assessments through the recommended and effective means and I have the needed required results its time I acted on them. By the end of the assessment I will already have each attribute of every worker. Through this I will be able to determine each of the worker’s weaknesses and strengths. I will then use this attributes to help
  • 6. them from the study this individuals to get away from their old selves and into newer workers who are passionate, productive, unreserved, emphatic, reliant, genuine etc. A worker who is genuine, passionate, productive, unreserved, reliant is very important for any organization (Williams, 2018). This kind of a person even have the potential to be a good leader. This are the kind of people who give their all for the progress of the company. It is very important that organizations try and assess the kind of employees they have at hand as the fate of a company is mostly at the hands of employees.by being able to assess and analyze each worker then the company is able to keep only those who are suitable for its operations. Additionally the organization could be able through this assessments discover hidden skills in some of their workers something that will be of huge benefit for the future of the company.
