Abstract
Apple Inc. is an IT based organization that manufactures Hi-
Tech products such as Smartphone, iPad, iPod, and Mac books.
The use of technology has influenced a number of issues with
the company as a result of risks that are associated with IT
based organizations such as Amazon. Today, Apple is among
the organizations that face great challenges. This aspect has
affected how information is transmitted and how the company is
managed. In the current world, business analytics and big data
are the two major exiting areas in business and IT in Apple. The
main objective of business analytics is to enable users to make
decisions based on the tasks that they handle in their assigned
departments. There are different departments at Apple Inc.,
therefore, the use of BI would allow the company to analyze
complex tasks. In addition, the company will enable the end
users to make decisions on the company’s tasks and analysis. BI
is appropriate for business because it enables IT based
organizations such Apple Inc. to customize reports to their
needs. In that case, the management of the company should
consider implement BI so as to ensure business success.

Introduction
Business Analytics is one of the latest developments in data
mining, marketing analysis, artificial intelligence, intelligence
agent, distributing computing, and network security. More than
a few organizations are eager to implement business analytics to
assist them in reducing costs and increase revenues. However,
these organizations face an uncharted territory in the area of
analytics and need assistance on how to solve implementation
issues. Some of these issues include mapping business
objectives to analytics, resources, data understanding, and
planning. Today, the use of technology in Information
Technology (IT) based organizations is one of the key aspects
that continue to influence new innovations.
Apple Company
Apple Inc. is an IT based organization that manufactures Hi-
Tech products such as Smartphone, iPad, iPod, and Mac books.
The
major business analytics that I would urge the management of
business to use is Business Intelligence (BI) software. However,
the cost of Business Intelligence software is costly (Sadagopan,
2007).
Business Analytics
The main objective of business analytics is to enable users to
make decisions based on the tasks that they handle in their
assigned departments. There are different departments at Apple
Inc., therefore, the use of BI would allow the company to
analyze complex tasks. In addition, the company will enable the
end users to make decisions on the company’s tasks and
analysis. BI is appropriate for business because it enables IT
based organizations such Apple Inc. to customize reports to
their needs. In that case, the management of the company should
consider implement BI so as to ensure business success. Big
data is not easy to manage and this is the main reason why the
company requires BI in order to ensure that data is well
managed. Effective implementation of Business Intelligence as
a major Business Analytic for Apple will enhance the
performance and functionality of users (Sadagopan, 2007).
Having been hired as the Business Analyst at Apple, I will offer
techniques and tools that can be used to manage data in Apple
Organization. I will equate business analytics because the
business will change in future. I will urge the management of
the organization to use business analytics to predict the
probability of transactions that have a potential to be fraudulent
in marking surveillance institutional trading. Apple Inc. is
among the well technological organizations that are committed
in analyzing different kinds of data. Therefore, I believe that
implementation of business analytics will considerably
influence change on how the company analyzed its data. The
company is eager to implement business analytics in order to
help in increase the company’s revenues (Shajahan &
Priyadharshini, 2004).
Business intelligence (BI) is architecture and a collection of
integrated operational as well as a decision-support application
data bases that provides entities easy access to business data.
Business Intelligent is the most appropriate form of BI because
it involves the collection of procedures, technologies, and tools
used to gather, access, store, and analyze the data of a company.
Apple Management can use a number of useful tools to build up
its Business Intelligent (BI) capabilities. Business Intelligent
(BI) is receiving an improved and increased popularity among
the business entities and more than a few industries. In that
case, I would urge the management of Apple to consider
implement BI in order to be in a position to increase popularity
(Shajahan, & Priyadharshini, 2004).
BI expresses the business goals in terms of specific financial
and operational objectives. One of the regularly used Business
Intelligence tools is the OLAP tool. These tools enable users to
interactively scrutinize multidimensional data from multiple
perceptions. The management of Apple Organizations needs to
know a number of resources required for a successful analytics
project. Despite the benefits of Business Analytics, there are
both advantages and disadvantage of business intelligence (BI)
with relevance to business performance. The following are
advantages and disadvantages of BI with relevance to business
performance (Shajahan, & Priyadharshini, 2004).
Benefits and disadvantages of business analytics
Advantages of Business Intelligence (BI) with Relevance to
Business Performance
i. Facilitate the reporting service
ii. Budgeting
iii. Forecasting
iv. Monitoring business
Disadvantage of Business Intelligence (BI) with Relevance to
Business Performance
i. Concluding remarks
ii. Price-fixing because of accurate and reliable of information
especially to clients
iii. Data analysis tool might sometime expensive
iv. It can be time consuming
v. Loss of confidentiality
There are suitable ways in which the management of the
organization can ensure that the disadvantages associated with
BI are eliminated. One of the major ways that the company can
proactively address the advantages of BI is through mapping of
business objectives. This is a keystone in the successful
implementation of business analytics such as BI. Through
Mapping of business objectives, the company can easily avoid
disadvantages. One of initial step of implementing analytics
within an organization is to have a clear trade/business
understanding of the issue. The company can address these
disadvantages through data understanding. However, as a result
of the disadvantages, there are two major issues which include
data quality and availability (Schermerhorn, 2013).
Challenges the organization may face
In that case, the management of the company should invest
more money in the business analytics in order eliminate
expenses. However, the implementation of BI wastes much time
and requires the business to use more money. Most of the costs
associated with BI include hardware, software, implementation,
and personal costs. In that case, I would urge the management
to enhance maintenance of these aspects. Maintenance costs are
not costly compared to purchasing new hardware and software.
It is also important for the management of the company to
employ individuals that are specialized in IT in order to
eliminate the disadvantages. The management of the
organization should enhance operational efficiency in order to
enhance procedures of decision making in the organization. This
will reduce the potential for high initial investment, and
possibility of investments not paying off. In addition, it is
important for the management to consider BI implementations
before they begin. In order to avoid further disadvantages, the
management of the company should be careful so as to address
the disadvantages more appropriately (Schermerhorn, 2013).
It is clear that Business Analytics such as the BI has given large
organizations such as Apple an edge for many years. Business
intelligence mainly helps these organizations to be more
competitive, make information-based decisions faster and
better, boosts the bottom line, and enhances operational
efficiencies. Today, data is everywhere and it can easily be
accessed. This is one of the major challenges that the company
should be prepared to face. It is evident that the current world is
full of hackers or unauthorized users that access
information/data without permission. It is difficult for IT
leaders or managers to notice whether data has been hacked.
The problem has been how to analyze massive data to make
sense (Sadagopan, 2007).
Three business analytic techniques
There are more than a few techniques that are associated with
business analytics. The three major analytics include strategy
implementation, performance measurement, and strategy
definition. When strategy has been defined, it is important for
an organization to consider the range of problems associated
with implementing it. One of the major problems is to recognize
the range of fields that require to be coordinated if the business
transforms are to be implemented successfully. In performance
measurement technique, IT based organization such as Apple
needs to monitor performance. During strategy definition, the
results of the external and internal environment analyses are
summarized and consolidated so as to examine the situation
facing the organization’s as well as identify possible causes of
actions (Manyika, Michael, Brown, and Bughin, 2011).
Implementation plan
This means that IT based organizations such as Apple Inc.
should increase their demand for business analytics techniques.
The business analytics techniques are used to find patterns in
data and present them in a simple way. A major challenge that
Apple Inc. might face is relaying on statisticians to analyze data
and report results. This can typically affect how the business
operates. Business analytics are challenging and they require
individuals to understand IT because it is the key factor that is
required to make decisions. Another major challenge that will
face Apple Inc. is the transition of analytics into mobile devices
(Piercy, 2000).
Apple is a big organization and it needs to store data for mobile
distribution. With the growing variety of information/data,
Apple organization needs to determine the types of data that it
needs to analyze. It is critical for the organization to be in a
position to leverage on both structured and unstructured data.
The major challenge that the organization might face in the
current competitive environment is to identify which data is
relevant and useful and then change it to transform the data into
useful knowledge for business decisions. In that case, the
organization needs to have tools or roadmaps to put its analysis
results and insights into use for actionable decision making.
Apple management needs to share information all through the
enterprise in order for analytics can be used in a proactive way
to develop and grow profits as well as streamline operations in
the hope of gaining a competitive advantage over its
competitors (Martin 2014).
Backup proposal in case management
I believe that collecting and presenting business analytics can
offer great insights into operations of a business. It assists in
decision making and assists in understanding clients’ behavior.
In addition, business analytics services will assist the company
in reducing the amount of work needed to implement change.
Before implementing Business Intelligence, it is important for
business to prioritize the company’s goals. The management of
the company should know the company’s business options and
match them to their business goals. However, the platforms of
BI take a longer time to be set up. BI can be applied in different
departments because it is compatible with IT basics. For
instance, poses more chances and with the current spate of
mergers and acquisitions are influenced by consolidation
procedures. Therefore, there is need for BI in search for synergy
and optimization (Zikopoulos, 2012).
BI would assist the company to collect different information
and data to facilitate the business activities such as decision
making. It is very important to share useful data with diverse
users like the CEO, executive leaders, managers, co-workers,
clients, as well as business partners. BI is suitable because it
prepares different reports for different users since not all users
can have access to all data. The sharing of BI can be done in the
third party reporting environment with lesser cost since the
systems have already been set up to be used. In Apple,
budgeting is a quantitative plan of activities and programs
expressed in terms of equities, assets, revenues, and expenditure
that will involve in carrying out the plans or quantitative terms
(Zikopoulos, 2012).
Concussion
Strategy implementation is appropriate because it considers a
number of issues. In contrast, performance management is
similar Strategy Implementation because it monitors
performance. In general, all the three techniques differ but they
have a major purpose of enhancing decision making. The
administration of the Apple organization be supposed to know
that successful execution of BI is understood so as to improve
functionality of users. The significance of management BI is to
improve efficiency within an organization. Administration is a
major conception in the company because of the role it plays in
the organization. As described in this paper, Apple Management
can use a number of useful tools to build up its Business
Intelligent (BI) capabilities. Business Intelligent (BI) is
receiving an improved and increased popularity among the
business entities and more than a few industries.
