Curbing Resource Consumption Using Team Based FeedbackSouleiman Hasan
This work details a team-based feedback approach for reducing resource consumption. The approach uses paper printing within office environments as a case study. It communicates the print usage of each participant’s team rather than the participant’s individual print usage. Feedback is provided weekly via emails and contains normative information, along with eco-metrics and team-based comparative statistics. The approach was empirically evaluated to study the effectiveness of the feedback method. The experiment comprised of 16 people belonging to 4 teams with data on their print usage gathered over 58 weeks, using the first 30-35 weeks as a baseline. The study showed a significant reduction in individual printing with an average of 28%. The experiment confirms the underlying hypothesis that participants are persuaded to reduce their print usage in order to improve the overall printing behaviour of their teams. The research provides clear pathways for future research to qualitatively investigate our findings.

Welcome to the New Era of Public Health Training: HRSA Region VII Midwestern ...Communications At NNPHI
Finding online training is easy. Finding the right training can be tough. While multiple funders and organizations support online training, these systems and services are not yet fully coordinated. The partnership represents a unified, national network of public health training and educational resources—the Public Health Learning Network (PHLN).

Apps for teaching and learning: An institutional approachJisc
Here at Manchester Metropolitan University we have recently completed the roll out of an apps for teaching and learning project that is centrally licencing and supporting 5 apps (Vevox, Mentimeter, Kahoot, Padelt and Nearpod) that we believe promote and enhance active learning practices for our students.
To do this we developed a learning activities frame work based on some research we undertook into the types of activities teaching staff were employing in their practice. This framework has allowed us to select a relative small, but we think, well mapped set of tools to enable colleagues to design and deliver a broad range of learning activities in their practice.
