RSS feeds allow users to subscribe to frequently updated content like blogs, news, and podcasts. An RSS aggregator collects all subscribed content from different sites into one place. Aggregators check subscribed feeds every hour and collect any new content. This allows users to check one site instead of many individual sites. RSS and aggregators are useful for managing large amounts of information by organizing content by topic and reading updates from many sources in less time. They also allow access to subscribed content from anywhere using aggregator apps. RSS should be used because it brings updated content from many sources directly to users instead of users searching various sites.
RSS is a family of web feed formats that allows users to easily access updated content from multiple websites in an aggregated format. The summary provides an easy way to keep up with new information from favorite sites without having to visit each site individually. RSS works by websites publishing updated content in RSS format and users subscribing to the feeds using an RSS aggregator, which checks websites for new content and displays it all in one place. Common types of RSS aggregators include those built into browsers and email clients, online aggregators like Google Reader, and offline desktop aggregators.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows users to easily manage and read news, sports, weather and other online content. RSS uses feeds that display headlines and summaries of updated web pages, which users can view all at once on an RSS reader rather than visiting multiple websites. RSS readers are programs that access, organize and display RSS feeds, with some web browsers having built-in RSS readers or the ability to add external readers like Google Reader.
The document introduces RSS (Really Simple Syndication) and how it can be used in education through Google Reader. It explains how RSS works similarly to newspaper syndication by aggregating content from various sources. It then provides examples of the types of information that can be accessed through RSS feeds, such as news headlines, blogs, and journal tables of contents. The document outlines the steps to subscribe to RSS feeds through Google Reader, including finding a feed, copying its URL, pasting it into Google Reader, and organizing it. It notes some benefits of using RSS like staying up-to-date on research areas and getting trends on subscribed feeds.

Diigo is a social bookmarking tool that allows users to tag and bookmark web pages and articles using a controlled vocabulary. Each tag generates its own RSS feed, enabling users to create targeted current awareness resources with multiple access points for different audiences. Diigo works best when its toolbar is installed in the browser but can also be used with a bookmarklet. Users can easily add bookmarks, descriptions, and tags to organize content. Tags autocomplete as they are typed to ensure consistency. Additional features include private bookmarks, marking items as unread, archiving page snapshots, and sharing to Twitter. Tags generate granular RSS feeds that can deliver targeted current awareness information to users.
This document provides an introduction and overview of resources available at the Fade Library in Liverpool, UK. It describes key databases for evidence-based research, strategies for designing effective searches using Boolean operators and structured vocabularies, tools for assessing the quality and hierarchy of evidence, and ways librarians can support users through e-learning and further assistance.
Kieran Lamb, Head of Library Services at Fade Library, wanted to assess the impact of the library using two approaches: an annual collection and continual collection of feedback. For continual collection, the library used online forms to collect feedback from users on services like search, training, document supply, and current awareness. After one month of using the forms, 53 responses were received. The forms provided positive feedback on services and helped identify ways the library could improve, such as suggesting additional search terms to users.
This document provides an overview of systematic searching techniques, including how Boolean operators like AND, OR and NOT can be used to expand or limit searches. It also discusses PICO and ECLIPS frameworks for developing search strategies and compares natural language searches to searches using controlled vocabularies. Finally, it lists several databases that can be searched for evidence-based materials, clinical research, and information related to health professions.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.
Muktapishti is a traditional Ayurvedic preparation made from Shoditha Mukta (Purified Pearl), is believed to help regulate thyroid function and reduce symptoms of hyperthyroidism due to its cooling and balancing properties.
