WORK EXPERIENCE:
City of Harlingen Police Dept- Police Officer assigned to enforce criminals and traffic
laws as well as city Ordinances. Investigated motor vehicle crashes, assaults, burglaries,
thefts, family disturbances, false imprisonments, robberies, and provided security.
Texas Dept. of Public Safety- Trooper / Sergeant – enforce traffic and criminal laws as
well as commercial state and federal laws and regulations. Maintain peace and assist local
law enforcement agencies. Provide swift water rescue, and first aid. Respond to Natural
and man made catastrophic events to provide security and help the injured and needy.
Respond to and investigate motor vehicle crashes. Train newly hired Troopers and

and proper applications. Established a code of conduct for the Department. Counseled

improve SEI transportation Safety rating. Establish and maintain records, inspection,
repair, permits and registration for CDL drivers, non CDL drivers, and all company
vehicles and equipment. Revamp, organize and established procedures to expedite
vehicle repairs and maintenance to minimize down time, while assuring quality
replacement parts keeping budgetary interest without compromising safety. Reorganize
equipment in yard, shop and crew trucks and maintain neat orderly appearance. Assure
that vehicles and equipment were maintained properly to minimize break down and
expenditures. Dispatch and supervise truck drivers and other yard employees. I was
responsible for taking orders for equipment, drivers and material to different locations
and made sure the assignments were done in an orderly and timely manner. I made
contact with a variety of client company personnel to ensure the job was done on time
and the service provided was satisfactory. I was active in the hiring, investigation and
training of truck drivers and crew pushers. Worked with HR personnel for the
administration of our random drug/alcohol policy. Worked closely with Safety personnel
for safety meetings and continued training of company employees. I handled all FMCSA
questions and compliance issues including state transportation, registration and weight
