- Introduction, if necessary: Deputy for Construction last two years. Previously, came up through the ranks in Structure Construction. We still have a lot of work and a big program for the next couple of years. California. How many people have never done a Caltrans contract before?
- We work closely with the LA MTA and the Ventura County Transportation Commission and other agencies, such as the Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles.Southern Cal is 7, 8, 12 and 11. We’re in District 8 today.
- Add in the 405 design build and its over $2 billion in District 7. Other districts are the same: District 8 shows $330 million under Caltrans administration but there is a lot of SanBAG and RTC work done through oversight. Last year, statewide we were at $10.3 billion, but District 7 was at $1.4 billion. Last year, D-7 had $444 million in the pipeline at this meeting. Today, we have $542,454,000 in the pipeline. We take bids tomorrow on a $192,000,000 project, so this number will drop to $350,454,000. But this project will be replaced by the Empire project on I-5 in Burbank roughly estimated at $220 M.
