1. Introduce habits and daily routines - Mr. Bean videos
In this first class students will watch a video of a Mr. Bean day and try to describe some of his actions.
2. Flashcards of habits and daily routines
In this step, students will received a copy with some flashcards and try to match the images
and sentences.
In groups, they will have 5 minutes to write on the board the most sentences they could.
It is the first part of a big game which gives them points, in the end it will become a grade or a
concept.
3. Write your own routine
Create a routine of your week using the simple present and adverbs of frequency; make it
using photographs of you to illustrate; be creative;
Example: Evolve unit 5 simple present routine activities.docx

This model will be used to exercise the simple present;
Students will choose two sentences and write them in two piece of paper (different colors)
one in English and another in Portuguese; the first they will read and translate to
Portuguese and the second they will read and translate to English;

4. Rewrite sentences (second case)
Students will receive their paper about routines and correct them;
Change the papers among the students, they will rewrite all the sentences in the
third person;
Change again the papers.
Choose three sentences:
Change one sentence to negative third person - the rest of students have to guess
who this student is talking about.
Make a question about this student to another one using third person;
This student has to answer using short answer in the third person;
