Software Defined Networking (SDN) is an emerging trend in the networking and communication industry and promises to deliver enormous benefits, from reduced costs to more efficient network operations. It is a new approach that gives network operators and owners more control of the infrastructure, allowing optimization, customization and virtualization that enable the creation of new types of network services. This is done by decoupling the management and control planes that make decisions about where traffic is sent from (the control plane) the underlying hardware that forwards data traffic to the selected destination (the data plane).

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

improve QoS. Products that are currently offered in the SON suite include
NetCM for network configuration management, NetPM for performance
management, NetTrax for Customer Experience Management, and
NetRevenue, a revenue reporting solution.
About Rorotika
3. Operators need to analyse data from several different network interfaces,
systems and departments in order to optimise their network infrastructure
and expenditure, while growing ARPU, profitability and market share.
Systems include Performance Management, Configuration Management,
Fault Management, Customer Experience Management and the Charging
System.
Challenges facing operators:
Isolation of network subsystems hinders data analysis
Fault reporting is dispersed across systems, reducing
visibility and accountability
Root cause analysis requires manual data correlation
efforts across multiple systems
Isolated systems result in ineffective methods of
prioritising faults and alarms
Lack of revenue data correlation makes it difficult to assess
the cost of faults and hinders effective prioritisation
Lack of CEM data correlation prevents consideration of
problems experienced on the ground, and identification
of their locations

4. NetTrax CEM from RanWorx integrates with Rorotika’s SON solution to provide
a comprehensive view of handset-based events, recurring network faults and
problematic routes. A feature-rich web-based interface offers powerful
reporting, drill-down capabilities and subscriber event-tracking. NetTrax also
supports Network Initiated Logging (NIL), allowing an operator to analyse
custom test routes and interval reports for target handsets in specified areas.
Handset software resides on standard smart phones, running Windows Mobile
OS, Android, Blackberry or Symbian.
NetCM provides an automated, repeatable and independent review of the status
of network parameters. This unique web-based product manages core
parameters, analyses B-numbers, identifies routing problems, and determines
BSS parameter faults. NetCM processes parameter data, identifies
inconsistencies and highlights key areas where settings do not conform to OEM
best practice or to operator-specific policies. MML scripts are auto-generated to
resolve inconsistencies and to manage planned activities. NetCM consolidates
multiple vendor technologies on one platform.
Netcm
NetPM, Rorotika’s network performance management solution, provides a
powerful, web-based interface to your network performance data.

6. Netcm
With ever-decreasing revenue and escalating operational costs, operators need to automate traditional
optimisation methods to increase efficiencies. Improving QoS in multi-vendor, multi-technology
environments is complex and time consuming. Automation, inter-departmental communication and
integration are required in order to reduce operational costs while improving QoS.
Rorotika’s NetCM allows operators to automate network configuration across all vendors, network
subsystems (BSS and NSS) and technologies (GSM, UMTS and LTE). This web-based application allows
radio and core departments to manage parameters, analyse B-numbers, identify routing problems, and
pinpoint complex BSS parameter faults. NetCM automatically processes parameter information,
identifies inconsistencies and highlights key areas where settings do not conform to OEM best practice
or to operator-specific policies. MML scripts are generated to correct inconsistencies and to manage
planned activities. NetCM consolidates multiple vendors and technologies on one platform. It also
consolidates operators, enabling group-level management.
Reduce operational and optimisation costs Maximise profits
NetCM is trusted by tier one operators to
provide unique benefits that include:
Configuring of CORE and RAN on one platform, and increasing
inter-departmental efficiencies
Multi-vendor and multi-technology architecture with hundreds of
off-the-shelf reports
Rolling out of new sites and performing cutovers efficiently and
correctly whilst minimising human error
Centralising of configuration management functions and building
centres of excellence within the operator
Policing of vendors in a managed service environment to ensure
that the correct license sets and features are implemented
