This student completed a TASK project comparing humans and animals. They researched four animals - lions, chimpanzees, dolphins and elephants - to compare their traits to humans. Through this research, the student learned that humans are actually animals themselves and share many similarities with other species. Their thinking changed as they realized we are more alike than different. The student found the TASK process engaging and that it improved both the speed and quality of their work.

I have become quicker and my work has become better. Before this TASK I thought that TASK was about challenging our thinking. But now I realize that it is more than that it is also about making us think. Normally in math's and writing we do our work just cause we’re told to, but in TASK we learn because we’re interested in what we’re learning.....
