Ronald Reagan was born in 1911 in Illinois and raised by his parents Jack and Nelle Reagan with his brother Neil. He graduated from Eureka College in 1932 and worked as a radio sportscommentator before moving to California in 1937 to pursue a career in acting. Reagan later became involved in politics and was elected as the 40th President of the United States, serving from 1981 to 1989. Major events during his presidency included the Cold War, the bombing of Libya, the Challenger disaster, the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, and signing nuclear arms treaties. Reagan advocated for reducing tax rates to spur economic growth. He died in 2004 from pneumonia at his home in Los Angeles at age 93.
