Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

Why You Should Replace Windows 11 with Nitrux Linux 3.5.0 for enhanced perfor...SOFTTECHHUB
The choice of an operating system plays a pivotal role in shaping our computing experience. For decades, Microsoft's Windows has dominated the market, offering a familiar and widely adopted platform for personal and professional use. However, as technological advancements continue to push the boundaries of innovation, alternative operating systems have emerged, challenging the status quo and offering users a fresh perspective on computing.
One such alternative that has garnered significant attention and acclaim is Nitrux Linux 3.5.0, a sleek, powerful, and user-friendly Linux distribution that promises to redefine the way we interact with our devices. With its focus on performance, security, and customization, Nitrux Linux presents a compelling case for those seeking to break free from the constraints of proprietary software and embrace the freedom and flexibility of open-source computing.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Romeo and juliet
1. Romeo and Juliet
Time Schedule
Start:5th December 2011 Deadline: 20th January 2012
2. Introduction.
• My production log is set out differently so I will be working different times and working on
different images to everyone else. My production log is set out in colours so each colour
which represents each task of all my assignments and days I'm not working. So basically what
ever colour it shows on the production log as you can see on the last slide that's what I am
going to be working on.
3. • Image one will be about the big fight out
Image 1 of the montagues and the capulets. The
theme will be violence it will be a British
setting and my image plan would have
two gangs facing each other getting
ready for the big fight scene with two
buildings with montagues labelled on
one and capulets labelled on one. These
are the images I am going to use in the
mock up for image 1.
This image is set in a British urban estate
And I chosen this image for the background
On my mock up that is going to be presented
On Photoshop because it seems for a perfect setting
For a perfect fight.
The image where the gun is in his mouth
I chosen this because
I have chosen this image to the mock up because it will
Make it look more interesting and realistic into what i
Had been told to make and that is two gangs fighting
In a British urban setting.
4. These two in the picture are Image 2
the two lovers that fall in love
At first sight Staring at each other. For image two it is going to be at the part scene that is
going on in the house of the capulets. I am going to
include a picture of a Juliet and a Romeo staring at each
other in a big fancy house where it is quiet with no one
around.
This is the big fancy house
Where they fall in love at
first sight
5. This image is going to be the kiss
At the wedding the most important bit Image 2
In the film and i chosen this image because For image 2 it is going to be set in a Church
I have to make it look British sense so what because it is the wedding scene. The reason
Makes it ore British than using the prince/ why i am putting it in with The other image (2)
Princess of the United Kingdom. is because it is in The same scene. I am going
to have A picture of a church to set in the
Background obviously. I’m also going to Collect
an image of the Romeo and Juliet getting
married.
This is the image where the
Background on the mock will be set as
This image. I chosen this image because
It looks most suitable for the scene.
6. Image 3
For image image is going to be set in a rough
place in the estate. I am going to include a picture
Off five people surrounding the battle 2 people
In the middle. I am also going to include the
Picture of the setting where this is going to happen.
This image suits the mock up because
It’s a image that involves violence because This image is the setting on where the
Of the group behind them Fight is set. Because it suites the image.
I chosen this image because
In the script it says the fight
Will be stopped and this
Includes a man stopping the
fight
7. Image 4
For the mock up for image 4 I
Am going to include a picture of
A banished/extinct sign. Because
That's what happens in the scene. I am
I chosen this picture because the Also going to gather an image arrow
Character in this image gets banished And a letter and also three people
Life. And a bed because it relates to the
Scene.
I chosen this picture because
It is the priest that sent the
Letter.
I chosen this image because
he gets letters I chosen this image because it has two people
Sent from the priest that In bed in love and that's the perfect image I need to show
has been received. A resemblance.
8. Image 5
This scene is where the daughter Has an
arranged marriage to another man. And
She doesn't want to. She got a potion
From the priest which leads to a 48 hour
Sleep. It is going to be set in the church
I chosen this image because it
Involves a priest in the scene.
This is the potion the girl drinks
To make her sleep for 24 hours
This is the girl that drinks the potion.
9. Image 6
This image is going to be The part after Juliet
drinks the potion and she is found dead on her
bed. And taken to the church and the Balthazar
sends the message to the Juliet's love. Romeo
finds out and buys a potion for himself and goes
This is where Juliet has been found to see Juliet at the church then drinks it then
Dead in her bed. Juliet wakes up and see him lying on the bed
This is Balthazar talking
On the phone to Romeo
About what happened.
This is Juliet getting lifted
by her family to
the church.
10. Image 6
This image is going to be The part after Juliet drinks the
potion and she is found dead on her bed. And taken to
the church and the Balthazar sends the message to the
Juliet's love. Romeo finds out and buys a potion for
