JOHN KEATS
 Keats was born in the stable the Swanand Hoop inn, London in
1795.
 when he was 15 years old his both parents died, then he lived with
his brother and sister in charge of guardians.
He published his first volume of poem in the year 1817.
Mattew Arnold said about him in line that
“had flint and iron in him “
He loved Fannie Brawn but he can’t merry with her because of his
poverty and growing illness.
He died in February, 1821.

This is the famous poem by
John Keats.
We can see the poet’s deep
interest in Greek mythology.
He wrote this poem In May,
1819.
This poem divided into five
stanzas.
In the first stanza Speaker stands before the Urn,this run
is ancient Greek art.
The urn is unaffected by time so time is frozen for it.
Speaker said that it is “ Unravish’d bride of quietness.
Thou foster child of silence
and slow time…”
Speaker asks about the pictures on the urn, that what
they are saying and about what.
In the second stanza the speaker looks at another picture
on Urn, he sees the young boy is playing the pipe. His
melody is sweeter than those melody can heard. He added
in his statement that this boy’s melody has no affect of
time. It’s. immortal. He tells that the boy can not express hi
love to his lover because time is frozen.but speaker says
that you should not be sad because her beauty will still
remain as she has.
In the third stanza ,he see that lover are
surrounding by trees. He is happy to see that
they love will immortal. Their leves of love will
never shed. The boy who is piper his song will
be forever and new for all time.He loves that
girls beauty remain as it is and their love have
never end.
In the further stanza, speaker observed
another picture on that Grecian Urn.This
picture about the conrysider,who are
returning.Speaker ask for the silent in the
village. What is the reason behind it.
In the last stanza of poem, speaker says that
generation will passing away but the Grecian urn
will remain.
Ode contain the most discussed two lines in all of
Keats poem
“Beauty is truth, truth beauty ,- that is all .
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know”
