Monitoring Equipment Technician
Under direction of the Technical Services Manager, conducted routine field observations of air monitoring
equipment in accordance with regulations of the Environmental Control Ordinance of Cook County, Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).
Reported technical air monitoring data and collected particulate samples respective to the air monitoring site
locations. Collected particulate samples from air monitoring equipment and transported samples to the
environmental control laboratory for particulate and chemical analyses. Performed routine service maintenance
on air monitoring equipment according to USEPA quality assurance requirements and recorded service
maintenance data into the maintenance/performance site logbook. Performed routine service maintenance on
ambient air monitoring equipment according to USEPA quality assurance requirements for SO2, NO2, CO and
O3. Audited all instrumentation as required by the Quality Assurance Project Plan for Illinois. Assisted in the
