Key Achievements: • Manage& strategize IPO under the scheme of demerger & Listing at Zee News Ltd & Rights issue of Siticable. • Spear headed primary & secondary investment in the company • Transitioned SAP integration to achieve synergy advantages from the existing operations. • SCNL turnaround from loss making to EBITDA positive during my tenure as CFO. • Zee News Ltd : Closely understood the operations and market to strategize company’s expansion into more channels at cost lowest in the industry. Followed a different model, different from other news broadcasters, were news gather & broadcast operations was a pooled resource which kept cost under control making ZNL most lean and most profitable company in the news category. • Negotiated & closed deal carriage deals with Broadcasters in SCNL. • Participated in bidding of Radio Business at Zee group, got involved in negotiations & legal aspects of business transfer, vetting of contract, implication of tax and structuring of the transaction etc. • Managed Investor relations resulting in better valuations & retaining interest of quality investors. • Syndicated over Rs 400 Cr of debt at SCNL and Rs 200 Cr in ZNL: Various financial products were used to manage working capital requirement and help reducing the cost of both short term & long terms funds. • Reduction in debt cost by 3.5% in 18 months time, by restructuring loan Portfolio, working capital arrangements, short-term lines after assessing cash flow needs of the business at SCNL. • Effective MIS helped in reducing cost & improving efficiency in production, sales territory.
